The Sin of Homosexuality Recently I have noticed many articles with regards to homosexuality. This brought to my remembrance a "revelation" that the Lord had given me in the past concerning this topic. I present this for your discernment.
The revelation was that the root of homosexuality was not the sexual sin, where most of us have our focus. The root of homosexuality is concentrated lawlessness and rebellion. From this root comes forth every form of perversion, including the sexual acts. The sexual acts are only one of the "fruit" of their rebellion. This deep-seated rebellion, wants to pervert anything that is natural and normal, declaring that evil is good, and good is evil. This goes far beyond the sexual activity. This is why they have no desire to be simply allowed "private freedoms." They demand perversion of our language, laws and even the rigid control of our opinions. That is why they are "in-your-face" and will never be satisfied.
I recall years ago some Bible teacher presenting a study which showed the biblical decline of a nation. Usually these nations have shed innocent blood along with many other sins. But usually the final "Sin" was that of homosexuality. He stated that God allows this at the time that he is removing his protection from that nation, and just before His judgment. That sounds familiar.
I know that many have stated that we are under God's judgment, because we are allowing the division of the state of Israel. That might be so. But I can't help but recognize that we have already allowed our land to be polluted to a sufficient degree to warrant the Father's judgment, without ever considering the state of Israel.
Shalom, John
1Ti 1:8 But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it lawfully;
1Ti 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1Ti 1:10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
1Ti 1:11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
