RE: "...the Western Wall"

The Muslims bow toward Mecca, and march around their
sacred stone once a year.  I believe that most
Christians would agree that this is idolatry.

Many from Judah (not all) pray and repeatedly bow
facing this stone wall.  Some write their prayers on
paper and deposit them in the wall expecting God to
answer.  Will someone please explain to me why this
should not be considered idolatry also?  (Hint: God is
not a respecter of persons.)
