Dear friends:

There is a big peace conference scheduled to take place in Brussels, Belgium on November 17-18, 2005.  It is called "Axis for Peace 2005." Their Web site is http://www.axisforpeace.net.

The rhetoric on the Web site is decidedly anti-American.  Participants named appear to be committed anti-American socialists from all over the world.

They will be crying "Peace, peace."

I am reminded of Jeremiah 8:11: “Peace, peace,” they say, when there is no peace.

And 1 Thessalonians 5:3: While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape."

Oddly, the very day after this conference is November 19, which on the Jewish calendar is Cheshvan 17.  That is the day Noah entered the ark, closed the door, and the flood began.  This brought the sudden destruction "in the days of Noah."
