Dear friends:

Today an M.D. friend and reader, Dr. James Ross, sent me the following description of a recent angel encounter.  I have several books of such encounters.  They actually appear frequently, and almost always in situations of help in distress, and usually they appear as humans.  It is really exciting.

"Are (angels) not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"  (Hebrews 1:14).  Therefore. let us "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares" (Hebrews 13:2).

From Dr. Ross:

On Tuesday a patient of mine for a long time (a dog catcher) was attacked by a pit bull. It would have killed her had not a strange man come up and pulled it off her. She thanked him, and he said words to the effect of "I am always here for you". They then called the police, and after the officer got her story, he turned to get his, but HE WAS NO WHERE TO BE SEEN AND HAD VANISHED.

Later...

I just now saw her again and got more of the story. His words to her were "Seems like I am always around when you need me," (she had never seen him before). She asked him where he came from and he said, "Some people think I am an angel from God."  He was a small black man, yet was stronger than 2 larger women combined in getting the pit bull off her. Remarkably, the pit bull did not lock down on her leg as they usually do.

I have no doubt she would have been killed after seeing the extensive bites on her legs. Miraculously, none are infected. Afterwards he dragged her to the truck, he cupped her hand in his, maybe that is why (meaning that this action of angelic touch killed any infection).

Three people saw him before he vanished: her, her partner and a TV reporter.
