Since a few days I am pondering some thoughts I now like to share ...
(sorry, for the long letter, I do hope you and we may understand by His Spirit...)
and let us please “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good…” (1 Thessalonians, 5, Verse 21)
May our Lord been our helper and grant His Grace upon Grace.
Can it be…?
Well, as I was watching October 3, 4 and 5,… (you know, the 14,000 days ending…)
and it seemed nothing did happen…. (?) no trumpet sound (?) perhaps except this one: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20051004/ts_afp/euenlargeturkey_051004093834 :
EU trumpets new era…( http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/friedrichw104-1.htm )
Well, as I was a little sad… Early morning Oct 6, I phoned to Bro Charlie ( from the 14,000 days – website) and I tried to “comfort” him and to tell him not to give up, no turning back… well, he more did comfort me when he encouraged me: Fix your eyes on Jesus!!! Yes, Praise the Lord. http://www.wonderful1.com/wst_page3.html That’s what we have to do: Fix our eyes on Jesus!
And then later that day there were the new fivedoves – letters…. and as Sis Arlene (thank you, Arlene) came http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/arlene106-2.htm telling: “…OK Doves, now it’s going to be Yom Kippur…” I marvelled…. it seems: the “thing” is really going on…
Yes, and there were others !!!!!! (thank you all!!!) like Bro Ola http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/ola105.htm pointing to Feast of Tabernacle …
and Bro Jim Bramlett’s New Moon reports http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/jim105.htm and on Oct 6, he came with a 2nd moon report http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/jim106-2.htm … wow, this is really something… is it not…?
Wow, all at once there came back to me more and more some “new hope”… Praise the Lord!
and suddenly I was remembered to that classic adventure novel
“Around the World in Eighty Days” by Jules Verne
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Around_the_World_in_Eighty_Days
Well, the point I like to bring across here is this: Please read the summary of the happy end:
“….Mr. Phileas Fogg (who did accept a wager for 20,000 pounds from his fellow club members, which he will receive if he makes it around the world in 80 days… ) …well, Mr Fogg and his companions arrive at Liverpool several hours before the deadline, which would easily suffice to get to London by train. However, ……once on British soil again, (the certain Mr.) Fix produces a warrant and arrests Fogg. A short time later, the misunderstanding is cleared up - the actual bank robber had been caught several days earlier. However, Fogg has missed the train and returns to London 5 minutes late, assured that he has lost the wager.
In his London house the next day, he apologizes to Aouda for bringing her with him, since he now has to live in poverty and cannot financially support her. Aouda suddenly confesses that she loves him and asks him to marry her, which he gladly accepts. He calls for Passepartout (Fogg’s servant) to notify the reverend. At the reverend's, Passepartout learns that he is mistaken in the date, which he takes to be Sunday but which actually is Saturday due to the fact that the party traveled in Eastern direction, thereby gaining a full day on a journey around the globe, by crossing the International Date Line.
Passepartout hurries back to Fogg, who immediately sets off for the Reform Club, where he arrives just in time to claim the wager won. Thus ends the journey around the world, which made Phileas Fogg not only a little richer but also the happiest man….”
See: This man finally (at the very last moment) did understand how to count, how “to number days”… wow! and he did “gain”…!!!
Well: Perhaps we did not number the days exactly enough… in the right “consistency” (“consistency”: http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/jim108.htm )
Can it be..?
The 14,000 days
For instance, we did “number” the 14,000 days from June 7, 1967 …until October 4, 2005 (first and last day inclusive) = 14,000 days or 2,000 weeks. “There will be exactly 14,000 days from the capture of Jerusalem in 1967 to Rosh HaShanah (Feast of Trumpets), October 4, 2005. This is the generation that rebelliously turned the Temple Mount over to the Muslims after God gave it back to them in the Six-Day War. Look at the problems this has caused....“
And we also found that those 14,000 days are about the 38 years which we find in the New Testament in the book of John, chapter 5: A certain man had an infirmity 38 years and was miraculously healed by Jesus on a Sabbath day.
( http://www.choicesforliving.com/spirit/Prophecy%20Updates/6-29-05.htm and others…)
Now what happened on June 7, 1967 was this: “…..During the Six-Day war June 1967, Jewish Jerusalem was attacked by the Jordanians… Heavy fighting ensued, resulting in the unification of the city…” …: “The temple mount is in our hands…” http://www.isracast.com/Transcripts/JerusalemDay_trans.htm
and:
“We’ve returned now to the wells, The market and the square. And the ram’s horn calls from the Temple Mount …In the Old City… Jerusalem of Gold…” http://www.jerusalem.muni.il/jer_sys/sitemap/openamir.asp?src=/english/tour/history/1967/1967.html&cont=/english/tour/history/links.html
However it seems it did not last too long: “…the ram’s horn calls from the Temple Mount…”
Yes, I did some research just recently,… the same kind Bro Wayne Coleman reported just today: http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/waynec1010.htm
By our Lord’s grace I could find the same link too and found another two which seem to be very interesting when you remember the quote (see above): “…This is the generation that rebelliously turned the Temple Mount over to the Muslims after God gave it back to them in the Six-Day War….” (may we judge in this way …at all..? Lord help us and have Mercy… if so:….) :
http://www.jerusalem-archives.org/period6/6-23.html : “17 June: Israel gives control of the Temple Mount to the Moslem Wakf (religious authority) which is allowed to keep the keys to all gates except the Mugrabi gate above the Kotel. Jews will be allowed to visit at times when Moslems are not praying, but Jews will not be allowed to pray on the Temple Mount….”
http://www.templemount.org/tempprep.html : “....On Saturday June 17, 1967, shortly after the end of the Six Day War, Defense minister Moshe Dayan entered the Al-Aksa Mosque for a historic meeting. In a gesture of good will, Dayan sat down on the prayer carpet with five leaders of the Supreme Muslim Council (the Waqf) of what had been Jordanian-controlled Jerusalem. That discussion fixed Israel's policy regarding the Temple Mount, a policy that remains unchanged to this day…..”
Saturday June 17, 1967
Here we have the remarkable date: Just ten days after June 7… on a Sabbath day!!! amazing!!! …the Temple Mount was turned over to the Muslims… Saturday, Sabbath, June 17, 1967!!!
Now let us “number the days” (by our Lord’s Grace):
Saturday June 17, 1967 until Friday October 14, 2005 (first and last day inclusive) are 14,000 days ! (“14…” see: October “14th ”…)
Or Saturday June 17, 1967 until Saturday (Sabbath Day) October 15, 2005 = 14,000 complete days = 2,000 weeks.
Sabbath Day, October 15, 2005 (12th of Tishrei, 5766):
What could be the significance of this day?
Please, remember now the reports about the
“New Moon”
“the moon, …the faithful witness in the sky,..” (clouds) Psalm 89,37
“New Moon Report” http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/jim105.htm
“New Moon Report # 2 from Israel” http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/jim106-2.htm
http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/gtg105.htm “...Once the declaration of a New Moon was made in Jerusalem, the Sanhedrene commissioned messengers to go out to notify outlying Jewish communities…”
How very important the declaration of the New Moon is you may read and study also here:
http://www.templeinstitute.org/rosh_hashana/introduction.htm “introduction”
http://www.templeinstitute.org/rosh_hashana/sanctifying.htm “sanctifying the new moon”
„…Rosh Hashana occurs on the first day of the month of Tishrei, and therefore, it can't begin until the appearance of the new moon has been established. The commandment to declare the new moon and establish its appearance for all the children of Israel was the first commandment received by the Israelites, even before they emerged from their bondage in Egypt, (Exodus 12:2) It may seem ironic that G-d - the King of the universe - would call upon His people to determine, as it were, on what day He Himself created the universe! But this is, in fact, what G-d, in His love for His people did: he entrusted the children of Israel as "partners" in maintaining and perfecting His creation. Two witnesses who had seen the appearance of the new moon were required to testify before the Great Sanhedrin, which convened in the Chamber of Hewn Stone, which was located on the northern wall of the Inner Courtyard of the Holy Temple. There they would be questioned and cross examined to verify their fitness as witnesses, and the truth of their words. Only when this had been done to the satisfaction of the sages of the Great Sanhedrin, would the Rosh Hashana service in the Holy Temple begin. Great care and effort was invested by the sages to ensure the veracity and efficency of the entire procedure of proclaiming the new moon. Ultimately, it all depended on the willingness of the common people to come forth as witnesses. One can only imagine the sense of obligation and privilege felt by each witness as he made his way to Jerusalem….”
http://www.templeinstitute.org/rosh_hashana/rabban_gamliel.htm “determining the new moon”
http://www.templeinstitute.org/rosh_hashana/infirmed_witness.htm “During the time of the Great Sanhedrin, the new moon was sanctified through the testimony of two witnesses who had seen the new moon…”
http://www.templeinstitute.org/rosh_hashana/deceiver.htm Deceiver: “A false witness is exposed...”
http://www.templeinstitute.org/rosh_hashana/day_hallowed.htm “The day is hallowed…”
http://www.templeinstitute.org/rosh_hashana/messenger.htm “Immediately upon proclaiming, "The day is hallowed!," messengers on horseback were dispatched to bring the news of the sanctification of the new moon to all the villages of Israel and beyond. The swift broadcast of the news was essential in order to enable all to observe Rosh Hashana on the proper day…”
http://www.templeinstitute.org/rosh_hashana/torch.htm “lighting the torches...”
Well, and today we read at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2005/kay107-3.htm
about the very rare type of delay …..
So we have the reports of the eye-witnesses in Israel of the new moon (as expected by http://www.biblicalastronomy.com/astronomy1.htm ) on Wednesday October 5, 2005!
If this is correct, for which has to be no doubt because of the witnesses in Israel, then we have:
Eve of Rosh Hashanah 5766: Wednesday October 5, 2005
Rosh Hashanah, Yom Teruah, 1st day of Tishrei 5766: Thursday October 6, 2005.
Eve of Yom Kippur, Eve of Day of Atonement = 9th day of Tishrei : Friday October 14, 2005
Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement = 10th day of the 7th month (Tishrei) : Saturday (Sabbath day!) October 15, 2005
Yom Kippur
Yom Kippur is called the Sabbath of Sabbaths … and this year we would have the Sabbath of Sabbaths just on a Sabbath day… exactly 2,000 weeks …14,000 days…. about 38,… years after that June 17, 1967 when “Israel gave control of the Temple Mount to the Moslem Wakf…”
However on the “official” calendar this Saturday October 15, shows: 12th of Tishrei 5766, because the start of the New Year was based on “calculations” (not on eye-witnesses of the new moon) which showed October 4, to be Rosh Hashanah.
It seems …here again we have a “mystery”....
Just let us be waiting and hoping…
Well, we do know this:
There has to be a final shofar blown at the end of Yom Kippur: http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/judaism/holydays/high_holy_days/yom.shtml
and the Yom Kippur lasts 25 hours... as every Sabbath has 25 hours: http://www.jewishbulletin.ca/judaism/holidays.html “...Shabbat starts on Friday evening at sundown and ends on Saturday night with the appearance of three stars (which is approximately 25 hours after it begins). …..At synagogue, there are special Friday night services, called Kabbalat Shabbat. One of the first songs sung to welcome the Sabbath is Lecha Dodi, which welcomes the "Bride Sabbath" (the Jews being "married" to God)...”
(I like the words “Bride Sabbath”…)
http://www.jewishbulletin.ca/judaism/holidays.html#yomkippur “…The fast runs from sundown on the eve of Yom Kippur until one hour past sunset the next day…”
This means that the shofar which has to be sounded “throughout the land” at the end of that day…will be heard when actually the Sabbath is already “passed” … (the 24 hour-day) and the 25th hour would be so to speak actually the very first hour …or the Eve of the “eighth day”, the first day of the week, the Lord’s day…
Praise the Lord!!!
Remember: “Therefore comfort one another with these words: “The dead in Christ shall rise first….””
Yom Kippur and The Year of Jubilee
When I did search at google to find some more about the 25 hours of a Yom Kippur day and about “Sabbath of Sabbaths”
I suddenly came across with this website
http://www.tscpulpitseries.org/english/1990s/ts971013.html
This is really a precious and beautiful sermon about Yom Kippur and The Year of Jubilee, written by Bro David Wilkerson. Praise the Lord! Would you please take time and read.
I was so surprised when I saw the date which was put on the top of the sermon: Oktober 13, 1997… Wow!!!
Isn’t it on a October 13, this year, the “official” Yom Kippur will be celebrated? Well, the Lord knows why Bro Wilkerson might have written just then this article… in 1997 – 7 by 7 years after 1948… 7 by 7 month after the the Oslo-“Peace”-Accord…
(8 years back when David Wilkerson wrote this article it was then October 13 = the 12th of Tishrei…. (Yom Kippur was then on Saturday …wow…. see above)).
Psalm 89... Praise the Lord...!
Yes, What a Sabbath this will be when we hear the trumpet sounding “throughout the land” and when our Lord will heal and save His Church and His so divided Body on His Great Sabbath Day… as He healed the man in John 5,….
May He grant us soon this His Grace and Mercy and save and redeem us and His People Israel and all the waiting creature....
Come Lord Jesus
Yes, let us prove and ponder all these things; and “hold fast that which is good...”
And if you may be a little down: and nothing seems to happen: Don’t forget: Let us “fix our eyes on Jesus!”
and if something is going to happen also surely let us “fix our eyes on Jesus!”
Come Lord Jesus, Amen.
“Surely
I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”
P.S. Jules Verne
And remember, if you like, Mr. Fogg who did not give up, who learned to number his days and did gain …
by the way: he was ready to go on that Wednesday, October 2, 1872, which was then a Eve of Rosh Hashanah! yes I did search http://www.hebcal.com/converter/?gd=3&gm=10&gy=1872&g2h=Compute+Hebrew+Date&hd=10&hm=Tishrei&hy=5758
Now, if you like to “translate” this into this year… correctly to …Wednesday, October 5, as described above, you would have “80 days around the world”… coming back exactly Saturday evening, December 24, Eve of Christmas! Praise the Lord.
Well, wasn’t Jules Verne some kind of a “prophet” ?… just think about his book “From the Earth to the Moon”…
Just one little detail more: There is described at the “Paragraph: Notes” at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Around_the_World_in_Eighty_Days
“Although a hot air balloon has become one of the images most strongly associated with this novel (appearing on the cover of many editions), at no point in the book do Fogg and Passepartout use one. The idea is brought up in chapter 32, but dismissed as impractical...”
Wow!!! This is really something... is it not...?
see : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:AroundTheWorldInEightyDaysBookCover.jpg
Well, I do always rejoice when I see a “hot air balloon”…. it reminds me to our Great Hope:
Revelation, chapter 1, Verse 7: Behold, he cometh with clouds; …….
Amen.
P.S. Yom Kippur and The Year of Jubilee
Finally:
today: Tuesday October 11, 2005: The watchword (drawn 3 years ago) given for just today:
Praise the Lord! All Glory to Him!
http://www.dailytext.com/php/dailytexts/dailytexts.php?shortdate=20051011
Verse 1: The Lord has sent me to comfort all who mourn. Isaiah
61:1,2
Verse 2: We will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage
one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:17,18
Prayer: Crucified and risen Jesus, you understand my mourning over losses and changes. You also suffered and grieved. Help me realize and feel your strength as I mourn. Help me encourage others in times of need so that we may see in you our reason for rejoicing. You are our present and eternal salvation. Amen.
