"re. should we rebuke what appears to be God's judgements"

Well I dont know if anyone else will answer this so I guess I will give it a
shot.
There seems to be a couple different camps on this.

Some of us are wishing that God would bring more harsh judgements because it
appears people have no desire of changing unless that happens.

Some of us think that we must rebuke anything that would bring destruction
because they believe only destruction comes from the devil.

We have to use God's word instead of our opinions when it comes to
understanding these things. We must accept his wisdom even if it is against
what we think is right. Then we must allow him to open up our understanding.

Should we pray against the horrible judgements of Revelations when they
happen? I don't see anyone in heaven praying against them, even their
prayers are added to the judgements. Don't be so smug and think you will not
experience harshness for you would be ignoring a great history of suffering
most of our brothers have gone thruough. Did God ask any of the prophets to
pray against the judgements that he spoke thruough them re. the punishement
that would come to on Israel?

Did not God warn the Israelites from the very beginning that he had a
blessing for them if they obeyed the covenents?. Did he not also warn them
of the disasters that would come to them if they refused? He did exactly
what he said he would do.

How can anyone with open eyes say that warnings or judgements are not due in
a country that has wandered so far away from God? There are some that say
that these are acts of nature and do not qualify as God's judgements. I say
wake up! Get your head out of the sand!

Did we learn anything from these recent disasters? First we underrespond
then we over respond then we under respond. We see that even when we over
respond the Government is incapable of keeping the situation under control.
Only God can realy help us after all. Is this not also a gentle warning of
what is to come? Can we see a way to prepare ahead of time? How seriouly we
should interceed for the nation to come back to holiniess BEFORE THESE THING
HAPPEN. How God wishes we would realy worship him and not just mouth words
on Sunday and immediately start taliking about empty things as soon as the
service is over.

What do you suppose it will take to turn us around? Will revival happen to a
people who can not get their minds off their perishable items? Their rusting
idols?

It usualy takes some sort of shaking for us as individuals for God to get us
back on the right track and I personaly am thankful for that. How much more
a nation that declares they have no place for his name or his laws in their
governmental business?
