This morning I was reminded of a desire I have of clearer communication with
the Lord. I had written prior about laying down my old wine skin, laying
down the old ways that christians lean on that they think is adequate. The
new wine skin scripture refers to not being reliant on customs to sustain a
relationship with God but laying aside the old self so that God work within
us. The old wine skin can not contain the Holy Spirit or new wine because it
does not yeild to Him. This is not easy to do when struggling with self.
I was also reminded that my mind should be his sanctuary and I thought of
how frequently I have let him down there.

This morning Zech 3 shows up. God removes the old garments, not Zecheriah
[or me]. Certainly this is what Jesus does for us. But like in Revelations,
it mentions those who have not spotted their garments. Those who have had
become entangled again in the world.

It states in Zech 3 that IF I walk in his ways and keep his commandments I
will have access to his presence. That is awesome. He also placed a clean
turbin on his head. For the mind to be covered and protected is my desire.

Zech 3

    3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and was standing before the
Angel [of the Lord].

    4And He spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, Take away the
filthy garments from him. And He said to [Joshua], Behold, I have caused
your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich apparel.

    5And I [Zechariah] said, Let them put a clean turban on his head. So
they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with [rich] garments.
And the Angel of the Lord stood by.

    6And the Angel of the Lord [solemnly and earnestly] protested and
affirmed to Joshua, saying,

    7Thus says the Lord of hosts: If you will walk in My ways and keep My
charge, then also you shall rule My house and have charge of My courts, and
I will give you access [to My presence] and places to walk among these who
stand here.
