Think
About This!
By Pastor F. M. Riley
“Watch and pray, that ye enter not
into temptation [peirasmos.....the
Tribulation]: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak,”
Matthew 26:41.
Alpha
As it has turned out, we now know that
Alpha, the 22nd tropical storm of the current hurricane season,
never developed into a full fledged hurricane.
Alpha joined forces with Hurricane Wilma, and the two combined storms
rained themselves out of existence along the east coast of the
Beta
But now comes Beta. This is the 23rd tropical storm of the season, and the 13th hurricane. A very fascinating storm!
Number 23 is the Bible number
repeatedly associated with “death”
throughout the Scriptures. As
an example, count the list of things in Romans
1:29-31, then notice the statement that follows the list in
verse 32.
Number 13 is the Bible number that is repeatedly associated with “sin or rebellion” throughout the Scriptures. Our readers should remember that “…..the wages of sin [13] is death [23];….” Romans 6:23. Then compare James 1:13-15 and 1 John 3:4. Number 10 is the Bible number associated with “Law” throughout the Scriptures. 13 + 10 = 23.
Now let’s add the 23 [the 23rd tropical storm] and the 13 [the 13th hurricane]. 23 + 13 = 36. Number 36 is the Bible number associated with “enemy” throughout the Scriptures. Certainly sin [13] and death [23] are the “enemies” of the soul. But there is also a “prophetic element” attached to number 36. Add all the numbers, beginning with 1 and adding through 36, and the sum of those numbers will be 666. Add them up for yourself. Coincidence?
God’s Judgments
Folks, I have repeatedly pointed out in previous email articles that these hurricanes, storms, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, and other so-called “natural” events, that have occurred in recent months [and which are still occurring] are judgments and warnings from Almighty God. Some folks are listening and believing, but there are some others who choose to mock and ridicule in unbelief. Which camp are you in?
If you are one of those mockers who refuse to believe that God is bringing judgment upon America, or anyone else, in this “day of grace,” you would do well to remember that you are not mocking me, but you are mocking God Himself. Read Galatians 6:7. In spite of your unbelief, God’s Word still says…..
“Praise the Lord from the earth, ye
dragons, and all deeps: Fire, and hail;
snow, and vapors; stormy wind fulfilling His Word,” Psalm 148:7-8.
“The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will
not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord
hath His way in the whirlwind
[hurricane] and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet,” Nahum 1:3.
“Shall a trumpet be blown in the
city, and the people not be afraid? shall
there be evil [trouble; affliction] in a city, and the Lord hath not done
it?” Amos 3:6.
“Ye who turn judgment to wormwood,
and leave off righteousness in the earth, Seek Him that maketh the
seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of
death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with
night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and
poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The
Lord is His name,” Amos
5:7-8.
Folks, these so-called “natural” catastrophes, as bad as they have been, are only merciful warnings from Almighty God. These catastrophes are pointing directly to the coming terrible Tribulation, which will bring judgments and wrath upon humanity a thousand times worse than any of these events that have occurred or which are occurring. Folks, the Tribulation is staring humanity in the face. Do you want to be here for it? No! Then quit mocking and start studying and paying attention to God’s Word. Get rid of your unbelief! Ask the Lord to give you a heart to believe His Word.
“Seek ye the Lord
while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the
unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will
have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon,” Isaiah 55:6-7.
Folks, Psalm 105 [corresponding with 2005], verse 7, plainly states that God’s “judgments are in all the earth.” Men can deny this if they choose, but their denial won’t change one iota in God’s Word. You will “prepare to meet thy God…,” Amos 4:12, or you will perish. The choice is yours. Choose carefully! May God grant you “grace” is my prayer.
“…yea, let God
be true, but every man a liar;…,” Romans
3:4.
“Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…,”
Acts 16:31
