Last week I was looking at a map of the European Union and the image of a beast, or a dragon, jumped out at me. I also knew that Turkey was being considered as a new member, and including that country to the map gave a new look to the beast pictured. Then today when I read the article,

I saw that the author also saw the beasts as simply images formed by countries on the map. I have seen others use the same logic, such as the map of Israel divided according to the tribes, and the resulting image of the "foot" of Asher being dipped into oil. So perhaps the Lord is showing us that the beasts of the earth, which are ruling empires, or groups of countries, are simply the way those countries appear on the map. Here is the map I saw, and the outlines I added to make it easy to see the beast. The black outline is the EU as it is now, the blue added would include Turkey, and a few other countries should they join in. Can you see the dragon?
