THE BEAST OUT OF THE EARTH –
666 - REVELATION 13:11-18
As
we have done with the beast from the Sea, we will again compare Daniel’s
vision with John’s vision.
Daniel 8:19-25
“And he said, Behold I will make thee know what shall be in the last
end of the indignation; for at the
time appointed the end shall be. The
ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and
Revelation 13:11-18 “And
I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns
like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And
he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the
earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly
wound was healed. And he doeth great
wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the
sight of men, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of
those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying
to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast,
which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the
image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not
worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich
and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their
foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark,
or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that
hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of
a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

is a very interesting parallel between what has happened in the past, and

man that we could describe as executing God’s counsel from a far country

This man who arises from the earth has “two horns
like a lamb”. This is a direct reference to
Alexander the Great, who is depicted on many Grecian coins with the horns
of Ammon on his head. In the Muslim
holy book, the Koran, Alexander the Great is called ‘Dhul Quarnein’ the
two-horned one.
In
the Bible goats were designated as clean animals which could be used for
food or as sacrifices – sometimes referred to as “kid” or “lamb”. These were not lamb’s horns, but were LIKE
lamb’s horns. I think the reference
is to their size. This man who is
like Alexander the Great in some respects, does not have the “Great/Notable
Horn” like his predecessor, but instead has two small horns like a lamb
would have..
Ammon
was the supreme divinity of the Egyptian pantheon.
In Egyptian “Ammon” means “the hidden one”. He was worshipped under several names. One was Khmum “creator of all things – the
maker of gods and men”. The chief

He speaks like a dragon. Revelation 13:2 indicates that it is “the dragon”
that gives the Beast Empire his power, and his seat, and great authority.
This is the “power behind the throne” so to speak.
The “dragon” features 13 times in the book of Revelation – at different
places he is described as having the same shape as the Beast Empire – i.e.
having 7 heads and 10 horns, - fighting angels, - being cast out of heaven
– people worshipping the dragon, and finally being described as a dragon
and as “that old serpent”. It
is obvious that this dragon, like the empire itself has been through many
meta-morphoses, appearing within the same geographical area as many manifestations
of different gods, but having the same spiritual father, i.e. the devil.
All
idolatry and paganism followed the political power structures of each succeeding
empire. The false gods were worshipped under various names, and many were
adopted by the peoples of succeeding empires.
In
1 Cor. 8:4 and 10:9-20 Paul asserts
that idols are nothing, but that there was a “demonic spiritual force” to
be reckoned with. The practice of
idolatry brings men into deadly contact with these “gods”, and it is obvious
that this is one of the reasons why Abraham was called out of

to be benign, is actually the “front” for the devil himself.
The goat is a symbol frequently identified with the devil.
“Like father, like son”, the true nature of the man will reveal itself. In Greek mythology Pan is a popular image of
Satan, appearing as a horned goat. He
could be said to be trying to pass himself off as “the Lamb of God”.

He exerciseth all the power of the first beast. As mentioned earlier, as the “public” leader of
the Composite Beast Empire, this person will be able to call on all of its
resources in his quest for power and control of the world.
He causeth the earth and them which dwell therein
to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. There
are many people who have written about the first beast as being a man who
rises from the dead. This is not
the case. The first beast was a
“physical empire” that was disassembled in the past, (IT WAS, IS NOT, etc,
and is about to re-gather again in a “religious” configuration out of the
areas covered by the 7 pagan and godless empires mentioned by John. The first Beast represents Allah and Islam. Men cannot die and be resurrected except by
the power of God. However, it is
likely that this Beast Empire will be led by a man who represents the power
behind the throne – i.e. the 12th Imam or Mahdi – successor to
Mohammed.
Meanwhile,
this 2nd Beast/Man out of the earth commands all men everywhere
to submit to Allah and worship the 1st Beast Empire and Leader.
It
is interesting that his first act is described as “maketh fire come down from heaven
on the earth in the sight of men.”
Osama bin Laden has already achieved this with the 9/11 tragedy
which destroyed the
And deceiveth them…by those miracles which he
had power to do in the sight of the beast. There
is no doubt that this person is “spiritually enabled” by the “dragon power”
to achieve all that he wants to by making mankind submit to the power and
influence of the Beast Empire and its representative. However, it is done by deception.
There
are four references to the “image” of the Beast Empire and leader that I
find interesting. The word “image”
is Strongs No. 1504 Gk. Eikon which means image, likeness,
portrait. In all 23 cases it is
translated in the New Testament KJV as “image”.
In
these references in Revelation 13:14-15 the “image” is given life and speech. It would be very difficult for anyone living
in the Roman era to understand the technology that would allow a “portrait”
to breathe, move and speak. All that was known of images in those days,
were drawings and images of idols made of wood, stone, and metal. There are a lot of references to “images”
in the book of Daniel also, these are all referenced to Strongs No. 6755
Heb. Which means sculptured image, statue, or idol. There is a big difference in the meaning
of these words. John was not talking
about a sculptured image, statue or idol.
If he had been, he would have used the word for idol – Strongs Gk.
No. 1497 eidolon
meaning idol, an object that is worshipped, formed by casting or
carving (with the possible implication that a god or demon is intrinsic
to the idol). John was talking about
“likenesses” or “portraits” of the Beast Empire and its representative,
which breathed, moved (i.e. had life – wind/spirit) and spoke.
In
1895 the first motion picture
was made by the French brothers Louis and Auguste Lumiere, who developed
their equipment from the inventions of Thomas Edison.
Until this time, no one was able to make a “likeness” or “portrait” live (i.e. move), and it was not until 1927
when the era of silent films ended with the success of Al Jolson”s “The
Jazz Singer”, that images could both move and speak i.e. have
breath, wind, spirit.
It
therefore seems perfectly feasible that we are able to interpret these verses
in Rev. 13:14-15 to mean that the Beast from the Earth creates a moving,
talking, breathing portrait of the Beast from the Sea, (e.g. a movie or
DVD) and it is the viewing of this that causes many to worship the Beast. In fact in Rev. 13:14, people are instructed
that they should make an image of the beast which had the wound
by a sword, and did live. How
else could all those that dwell on the earth get to see the image and for
some to worship it? Modern video “copying” technology is all that
is required to accomplish what this verse says and to spread this image
around the world. Incidentally,
I see no reason to believe from this verse that the beast actually died
from the wound of the sword. It
could be interpreted to mean that in view of the severity of the wound,
he probably should have died, but instead he lived.
(More on this later).
A suggested scenario is this…. To raise up a band of committed
followers of Allah, it would require no more than a Video showing the 12th
Imam or Mahdi, asking for a Jihad against the Western World, and for “enforcers”
to accompany the screening of such a video, allowing the faithful to “take
the mark” of allegiance or else be killed. This seems a very “small ask” compared with
the price of dying, going hungry, or not being able to buy and sell, especially
if you are already looking for such a person to arrive on the scene.
Don’t forget this is done by deception. Rev. 13:14.
Some
may think this is far fetched, but I believe this is what is about to happen.

DESCRIPTION OF THIS MAN – Daniel 8:23-25
“…a king of fierce countenance,
and understanding dark sentences shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his
own power; and he shall destroy wonderfully,
and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy
people. And through his policy also
he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself
in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many; he shall also stand up against
the Prince of princes, but he shall be broken without hand.
I
believe the “dark sentences” refers to the Koran.
He amasses a great following among his fellow believers, and commandeers
munitions and armaments as he conquers and controls the adjacent territories,
(just as Alexander the Great did). We
have already seen the destructive abilities of Al Qaeda and the Islamic
militants – (using modern equipment – planes and cars, ships etc., and people
as bombs) most of it commandeered
or stolen. No doubt he will make
peace alliances with the leaders of some of the Nations within his Empire’s
reach, but no one is safe because he is full of self-aggrandizement, and
wishes to rule the World on behalf of his god and to be worshipped on the
2 Thess. 2:4 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that
day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man
of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or
that is worshipped, so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing
himself that he is God.
Daniel 11:37 Neither
shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard
any god; for he shall magnify himself above all.
He
will not worship the God of Abraham, or his father Ishmael, nor have any
reverence for Christ (the desire of women).
Daniel 11:38 But
in his estate shall he honour the God of forces; and a god whom his fathers
knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones,
and pleasant things. Thus shall he
do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge
and increase with glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and
shall divide the land for gain.
He
will put his trust in strongholds, fortresses, and places of protection.

The Counterfeit Trinity
In Revelation 16:13-14 we have a further insight into what
is controlling these three beings. “And
I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon,
and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working
miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world,
to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” If these three spirits come out at the time
of the 5th angel’s vial being poured out upon the seat of the
beast, then it means that previously they were inherently “within them”,
controlling their actions.
I
believe there is a terrible trinity
of possible “hidden” contenders
for these jobs at the moment. –
1. “Mullah Mohammed Omar has
been on the run with Osama bin laden, since 2001. He was the religious leader of the Taliban.
This man most of all, of the possible
“candidates” is yet to reveal himself - He is the One-eyed leader of the
Taliban. Time Magazines 1st
Oct. 2001, 15th Oct.2001, 26th Nov. 2001, and 24th
December 2001, contained quite a lot of material about this shadowy leader
of the Taliban who is believed to still be at large.
Time
Magazine 24th Dec Time. 2001 page 23/24 stated – “this man is
described as being "a one-eyed visionary who conversed
with the Prophet in his dreams".

Only
a few photographs of this man are known to be in existence, and they are
very indistinct. He has a formidable
wound to his head, and lost his right eye in a previous conflict. As the “hidden 12th Imam or Mahdi” he would
represent the 1st Beast out of the sea, the Revived Islamic Empire.
The future Mahdi/Imam is prophetically described as bearing Mohammed’s
name. However, this man is also said to be very
inarticulate in public. Perhaps that is why the Beast is given a “mouth”.
If he declared himself to be the Mahdi,
this “Prince” will indeed “appear” to rise from the dead, just like
his Empire.
He
said he formed the Taliban after he conversed with the Prophet Mohammed
in his dreams and was told that he should save his country.
Perhaps he has larger ambitions.
I would equate him with the Beast Empire – because both have had
wounds to the head, - the

is also a passage of scripture in Zechariah 11:17 that could apply to
this man “Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth
the flock! The sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye; his
arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.”
Some
exerpts from Time magazines – “Religion is Omar’s obsessive core.” - “Talib
means “seeker of knowledge”” – “He avoids public orations and is inarticulate
while explaining his government policies.”
– “Since being elevated to the status of Amirul Momineen, or Commander
of the Faithful, he sits on a raised platform.”
2.
Osama bin laden on the other hand could well be the
2nd Beast out of the land called the false prophet, because this
person “exercises all the power of the 1st Beast – he makes “fire
to come down out of heaven” – (he has already done this with the twin towers),
and he forces mankind to worship the first beast (Prince/Imam/Mahdi of the
Islamic Empire). Commentators frequently
state that Osama bin laden has a “Messiah” complex.
His is the visible face of Al Qaeda.
In Revelation 16:13, 19:20 and 20:10 the 2nd Beast out
of the land is called the false prophet.
The Beast and the false prophet both meet the same fate in the lake
of fire burning with brimstone. He
could be equated with the Anti-Christ or false Messiah.

3. Ayman al-Zawahiri
The third person of the “unholy trinity”
appears to be the brains behind the al-Qaeda network. He is an Egyptian Doctor who is al-Qaeda’s
No. 2.

Is There Proof that Osama bin
Laden is the False Prophet?
In
the course of my studies in this 13th chapter of Revelation,
I woke one morning to look at verse 18 which I had written out the night
before, as a prelude to seeing how the number 666 fitted into the scenario
I have outlined in these articles.
I
had actually written the numbers as 6,6,6
and in the morning, saw that this was probably the numerical value
to be assigned to the letters of the alphabet, i.e. adding the value of
“6” to each letter. The verse
itself has always seemed to be a riddle, which many people have tried to
solve. Many names have been calculated to total 666
in the past, and many of them have faded from view, as others have stepped
onto the stage of history.
The
values of each letter are as follows –
A
= 6 B = 12 C = 18 D
= 24 E = 30 F = 36 G = 42
H
= 48 I = 54 J = 60 K
= 66 L = 72 M = 78 N = 84
O
= 90 P = 96 Q = 102 R
= 108 S = 114 T = 120 U = 126

Then
I thought to try it out on the names of the “trinity” candidates listed
above –
Mohammed
Omar = 714
Ayman
al-Zawahiri = 978
Osama
bin laden = 660
I
looked very closely at the 660, but couldn’t make his name add up to anything
more than 660 – having checked my calculations several times! Then I looked closely at the riddle in Rev.
13:18
“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding COUNT the number
of the beast.”
I took that to mean -
ADD UP the numerical value of the letters in his name. I had already done that and the Sum was 660
“for it is the number
of a man” I asked myself what is the number of a man? The answer is 6 – he is one short of divinity (7), and he was created on
the 6th day. I think
it is generally recognized that 6 is the number of “man”. I therefore presumed that “the number of a man”
was to be counted also, which gave the total of “his number is 666.” i.e. the TOTAL number.
The riddle therefore folds in on itself. It gives the numerical value to be assigned
and added to each successive letter of the alphabet. Those letter/values are to be added up, plus
the number of a man, and this gives the TOTAL, as well as the KEY.
My assessment – Osama bin Laden is 666. He is so “beastly” that his name cannot even
add up to 666!! The number of
man (6) must be added to it to complete his number and make him seem like
a human.
So
to go back to Rev. 13:17 – obviously the “mark” is something other than the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
There appears to be a choice of 3 options …And that no man might
buy or sell, save he that had (1) the mark; OR (2) the name of the Beast (perhaps his initials)
or (3) the number of his name i.e. 666. In his book “The Last of the Giants” by George Otis Jnr, the writer maintains
that the Islamic Nations will re-institute an “old” trading mark that has
already been in existence.
Possibly
the mark will be a “crescent moon” – this is the God they worship – the
Moon God’s name is SIN. I don’t
know what the word “SIN” would be in Arabic, but normally they prefer to
use Allah.
No
wonder the Beast/Man is described in 2 Thess. 2:3 as “Let no man deceive you by any means;
for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and
that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth
and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,
shewing himself that he is God.
The
word “perdition” (Strongs “apoleia”) means destruction,
ruin, waste – I think that describes Osama bin Laden very aptly.
To
return to the “Unholy Trinity” They
are all in hiding at present. They
are obviously about to make some kind of announcement –I think that Osama
bin Laden is about to declare that the hidden Mahdi has been revealed, and
he wants a good “video” made of it. It
also sounds as if the 1st Beast is about to be “given a mouth”
Rev.13:5 or spokesperson, to speak
on behalf of the Beastly Empire and Mullah Mohammed Omar.
To
quote President George Bush on 6th October 2005 as reported in
the Jerusalem Post.
“We are facing a radical ideology with immeasurable
objectives to enslave whole nations and intimidate the world.”
This
is the reality of the era in which we live.
We do not have time to wait for a revived

1 John 2:22 1 John 4:3 2 John 1:7, the writer gives us descriptions
of the Anti-Christ. i.e.
“Who is a liar but he
that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He
is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.”
“And every spirit that
confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God; and
this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should
come; and even now already is it in the world.”
“For many deceivers are
entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh. This is a deceiver and an
antichrist.”
Islam
denies that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the Son of God. They regard him as a prophet like Moses. This denial is written on the walls of the
