Greetings Five Doves,
At my new job, one of my co-workers is a Christian man. (I've never had the opportunity to work with a fellow Christian!) We share an office together, and once we realized that we were both Christians, I brought in some Christian music to play softly in our office. Its been so uplifting. Naturally, the enemy won't stand by and let this happen without a fight. On Friday Jorge came in to work and announced that he had had a mild heart attack the night before. (He is 66 and has had one before.) He brought his nitroglycerin in "just in case". I couldn't believe he would come into work right after a heart attack at night. But there he was......and still in pain.
We happen to work around the corner from Dr. Whitaker's Wellness Institute. He has been on "Doctor's Night" on TBN for many years. Dr. Whitaker wrote the book "Reversing Heart Disease". I've seen so many of Dr. Whitaker's patients coming in for treatments from all over the country (and Canada) and they ALL sing his praises how he saved their life or their spouses life. When Jorge came into work in this condition on Friday, in spite of his protests I called this clinic to see if we could get him in same day. Miraculously, they did have a last minute cancellation, but Jorge, skeptical of Dr. Whitaker resisted going and went to a meeting with his boss instead. By the time he came back it was too late for a same day visit. Whitaker's promised to keep him on a special list to call him if there is another last minute cancellation next week.
Needless to say, it was EXTREMELY difficult to work the rest of the day with a lump in my throat. My fear is, if God doesn't intervene and either heal Jorge supernaturally or get him into Dr. Whitaker's clinic soon, Jorge will go home to be with the Lord. Its only been a year since my Dad was murdered, I just don't think I could handle another tragic loss of life. Sounds selfish I know. But all this has brought up painful memories of last year's agony of my father's death. I spent most of yesterday crying.
So I'm asking for Five Doves readers to pray that God will intervene in Jorge's life. I sense that he is on a slippery slope healthwise and doesn't realize how serious his situation is......plus I am believing God for an opening on Monday at Whitaker's so Jorge can get off all the bad drugs his cardiologist has him on, and get him on a true pathway to healing and recovery before its too late. He has a wife who is chronically ill with arthritis, and a recent bout with cancer and is very dependent upon him. (She would benefit tremendously from Dr. Whitaker's approaches as well.) He has 3 grown sons who have strayed from the Lord. So Jorge is still needed here very much.
