NEW WINEThis is just a short note regarding our studies of the Feast of Tabernacles. The custom during this feast, is that the priests pour fresh water from the Pool of Siloam, and NEW WINE over the various fruit tree branches which have been placed over the sheltered altar. In reading about the traditions and customs, and even God's command about the feast, it is plain that this is a week of celebration, and feasting, and joy over the abundant harvest, as well as a praying for rain for the next harvest season. The people drink NEW WINE with their lavish meals inside their huts.
It occurred to me, that in the celebration (last supper), (the betrothal supper), that our Lord mentioned that the cup of His blood, for our remission of sins, He would not drink again, until He drank it NEW with us "IN MY FATHER'S KINGDOM". (right after the rapture) (see verses below in Matthew 26) I looked up this word "new" in the Strong's numbers, for I had always felt that what He meant was that He would drink the wine "again" with us. But the word actually means:
Strong's Number: 2537
Definitionnew
as respects form
recently made, fresh, recent, unused, unworn
as respects substance
of a new kind, unprecedented, novel, uncommon, unheard ofSo, this "new" wine which He would drink with us, would be "newly made",,,,,,,,Perhaps He was saying that we would share in His joyous feast of Sukkot, to celebrate His harvest, in His Father's Kingdom, which would be a seven-day feast of joy, when He would take of NEW WINE, with us.....and also a bridal week? Also, at the wedding at Cana, a type of our wedding with Him, when He made NEW WINE out of water, that this new wine served at the end, was far better than that which had been served first (the presumed better or more aged wine). This may picture our drinking of the old wine, at our communion services, or the "remembrance of His death, UNTIL HE COMES", and then when He comes, partaking of the much better, NEW WINE, at the Feast of Tabernacles?
Sure hope so......................
Blessings upon blessings to you all

Matthew 26:26-3026 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. 30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives
