Linda:  Yes, other sites notwithstanding, the idea that Mary represents the Jews is original with you.  Certainly interesting.
 
I have a retired pastor friend who goes periodically to Russia to teach the Bible to young pastors.  Here at home the plant where he has a part time job is owned by a Jewish man of Russian heritage.   When the pastor tried to share about his going to Russia and said "shalom", his boss retorted "what do you think I am, some kind of Zionist?"  (bitter)  But the pastor noted it was said with a subtle inclination that he might like further discussion down the line.
