LONDON [MENL] -- The United Nations has sought to promote the sharing of intelligence in an effort to foil insurgency attacks.

Officials said the UN would draft regulations that would require member states to cooperate in counter-insurgency operations. They said the regulations would call for the sharing of intelligence on insurgency groups and suspected plots.
