13 Russian-Chinese Documents Signed in Beijing

BEIJING. Oct 14 (Interfax) - Thirteen documents have been signed following talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao in Beijing on Thursday.
 

The documents include a joint presidential declaration, an additional agreement on the eastern sector of the Russian-Chinese border, an intergovernmental protocol on travel by Russian and Chinese ships in the area near Tarabarov and Bolshoi Ussuriisky Islands, and a protocol on the end of talks on opening the two countries' markets to each other's goods and services.
 

An agreement on establishing a Russian consulate in Guangzhou and a Chinese consulate in Yekaterinburg, and an agreement between the Russian Drug Control Service and the Chinese Public Security Ministry in countering drug trafficking were signed as well.
 

Other documents include an agreement on strategic cooperation between Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), an agreement on cooperation between Vnesheconombank, Russia's Import-Export Bank, Chinese Export Credit Insurance Corporation and China Development Bank, an agreement between Vneshtorgbank and the Agricultural Bank of China, an agreement on cooperation between Russia's Sberbank and the Bank of China, and an agreement on creating a Russian-Chinese business council
