"A Dream"
Dear Doves:
I
had a dream last night that I want to share with you to see if God
will reveal anything through any of you:
I
was on my property (though in the dream it was in another place that was
high above the land below). I saw some people and went to see who
it was on my land, and they had Army tanks, vehicles, and military
personnel there. Suddenly, I looked to my left and saw a BIG tank
that was pulling another large dozer or a kind of road building equipment.
They were joined together. In Iraq today, it is the military that must
go ahead of the re-builders to protect them. But the soldier driving
the tank decided he could drive down a very steep road below, pulling the
earth moving equipment behind him. I knew he couldn't possibly
make it as the drop off was too steep, even for a tank, so I yelled at
him. Another soldier was standing nearby and he saw what was taking
place and he too yelled. When the tank operator started down the
road, he was not aware that it was so steep--but it was too late.
Both the tank and the dozer cascaded off the cliff and crashed below.
It was horrible. We could do nothing to help this poor soldier.
My
thoughts are that this has to do with Iraq (because of all the military).
The three main items are (1) a tank and (2) a piece of road building equipment)
and (3) the soldier driving the tank. All three will perish because
what looks to be an easy thing to do will end up in disaster.
The
tank is used in warfare. The road building equipment is being used
to re-build Iraq. And the soldier is just doing his job. In Iraq
today, these are the main components. But there is to be a sudden
wrong turn of events, and the driver of the tank will fall victim to
it, as will his tank and the equipment he pulls. We might see it
about to happen,(discern it spiritually) but too late...there is
nothing we can do except to yell and warn, and we will be yelling as it
is happening right before our eyes. Our thoughts were for the
soldier who would die, as I
remember now how
the other soldier reacted when he saw his friend perish. He was crying
and sobbing at the loss of his friend. Especially knowing he was
helpless to keep it from happening.
If
Kerry were to be elected, it would be just as if the ground underneath
all we are doing in Iraq will give way and it will all end up in disaster
too...especially for our soldiers. In the dream the event was on
my left where it happened and Kerry is definitely on the left of everything
Bush is trying to accomplish in Iraq. You and I, sitting in a safe
place above all of this, might see it about to happen, but be helpless
to do anything about it, nor able to console the valiant soldiers who feel
such loss.
I
hope and pray I am wrong about this interpretation, but in any case, we
can and must pray.
