Dear friends:
In a few days Americans will choose either George W. Bush or John F. Kerry as the next President of the United States.
Recently I forwarded a couple of messages in which one could determine my preference in the coming election. While only 1-2 readers voiced displeasure at me expressing political opinion in this newsletter, I am still hesitant to do so. Yet, there so much is at stake in this election, one cannot be cowardly. I don't want to be a "girlie-man," using Governor Arnold Swartzenegger's term. I must speak out with what is in my heart. The times are too critical. The truth must be told.
So here it is.
People will have different reasons for choosing their preferred candidate. However, if a majority choose John Kerry, I am seriously concerned about these characteristics of the new Commander-in-Chief who would reside in the White House.
1. See the 14th Amendment below. It is a fact that Kerry gave aid and comfort to the enemy during the Vietnam war. Technically, he should be disqualified as a candidate. He became a hero to our North Vietnamese enemies. His photo has even been discovered in the Ho Chi Minh City museum in Vietnam. He publicly stated what our POWs in Vietnam took torture to avoid lying about. That is why many ex-POWs have organized against him. See below. Plus, in violation of U.S. law, he met with the enemy in Paris. The left-wing mainstream media is almost silent on all this, too busy trying to undermine George W. Bush.
Fourteenth Amendment, Constitution of the United States of America. Section. 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
Oct. 26 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Special Forces Veterans who served in Vietnam have released an open letter to Senator John Kerry opposing him as a Presidential candidate. The statement released on http://www.VetsforBush.NET states, "He slandered and dishonored all Vietnam Veterans in false and exaggerated testimony before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee." The Veterans demand that Senator Kerry sign the Standard Form 180 to release all his military records in order to examine Kerry's contention that his Vietnam service lies at the heart of his fitness for office. Of 377 Special Forces Vietnam Veterans who reviewed the letter, 365 endorsed it in solidarity with Swift Boat officers and men who oppose Kerry (http://www.swiftvets.com/).
2. Kerry has admitted to committing war crimes. A war criminal should not be allowed to be President of the United States. This would even disqualify him from being hired as a low-level security guard at Abugrave prison in Iraq! The mainstream media is also silent on this, too busy trying to undermine George W. Bush.
3. Kerry did not receive an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy until seven years after he left service, reportedly being "fixed" by Democratic President Jimmy Carter, who also reissued his medals. As mentioned by the veterans above, Kerry still refuses to sign Form 180 to have all his records released. The public has a right to know about his discharge and problems associated with it. The mainstream media is also silent on this, too busy trying to undermine George W. Bush.
4. There are serious discrepancies in his combat record during his very short, 3 1/2-month stay in Vietnam, attested to by many decorated and honorable men who served with him, whom the left-wing media are viciously slandering. All these honorable men attest to Kerry lying about his record. The mainstream media have not given these true heroes the platform they deserve, again, too busy trying to undermine George W. Bush.
5. By his voting record, John Kerry is rated the # 1 liberal in the U.S. Senate, even more liberal than radical Ted Kennedy. VP candidate and trial lawyer John ("Breck hair man") Edwards is rated almost as high on the scale of liberalism. If you think there is not much practical difference between liberals and conservatives, just wait until these two get in office, God forbid. Mrs. Kerry has already indicated that she wants to be involved in government and try to resurrect the socialistic Hillary-Care health system.
6. Critical appointments for the U,S. Supreme Court will probably occur during the next four years. Kerry has already announced his "litmus test," that his court candidates must be pro-abortion (while denouncing a presumed pro-life litmus test by Bush). As a super-liberal, we know his candidates will not be strict constructionists of the Constitution but will believe in legislating liberal, anti-Constitutional philosophy from the bench, the curse of the past few decades of judicial activism.
If John Kerry is elected President, the downward plight of our culture will accelerate, the nation will suffer great embarrassment, our military worldwide will be demoralized, and future traitorous actions by citizens will be encouraged, the same way promiscuous sex has been encouraged by Bill Clinton and his indiscretions, as the last Democrat in the Oval Office.
I am persuaded that we are in the biblical end times and I do not know what God's plan is for America through this election. Based on our national sins, He may allow the wicked to have their way. But we must "occupy" 'til He comes, as Jesus said, and, even with his shortcomings, I had much rather George W. Bush "occupy" the White House than John Kerry. Therefore, Bush has my vote, and continued prayers for wisdom, favor, and protection.
