Kerry Stumps for Black Voters at Churches

MIAMI - With just three Sundays left before Election Day, Sen. John Kerry is asking for all the help he can get from black voters and the Almighty.

The Democratic presidential nominee attended two church services Sunday, instead of his usual one, worshipping first with Haitian Catholics and then with black Baptists, where the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton tied his election to the civil rights struggle.

"We have an unfinished march in this nation," Kerry said at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, as many congregants waved fans handed out by the campaign with his slogan, "Hope is on the way."  (I saw on TV that many fans actually said KERRY-EDWARDS.)

Where is the left-wing ACLU?  Where is "Reverend" (joke) Barry Lynn of the left-wing Americans United for Separation of Church and State?  Their silence is deafening, as usual in such cases.  If Bush had done this, they would be immediately screaming for the IRS cancellation of the churchs' tax-exempt status, with the help of the New York Times and other left-wing media.  What a blatant double standard and hypocrisy.

In his campaign speech at the church, I heard Kerry quote from the sacred hymn, "Amazing Grace," saying, "Tis grace that brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home."  The ecstatic congregants clapped and shouted as Kerry stooped to a new low and politicized God's amazing grace available through the bloody sacrifice of His Son.

I wanted to barf.  It cannot get any more sickening than this.
