i talked with a friend of mine at our local Jewish Community Center, he advised that the final "last day" of this current Feast of Tabernacles is actually on this coming Friday October 8th, not Wednesday the 6th

The last and great Day  of the Feast of Tabernacles Jesus refered to runs from Thursday thru Friday. On the Hebrew calendar Thursday is called Shemini-Atzeret and Friday is Simchat Torah
