"THE LORD IS ABLE TO DEFEND ISRAEL IF PEROUTKA BECOMES PRESIDENT"

Dear John & Doves,

In reply to the post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/oct2004/eulissd109.htm I would assume that a majority of the Democrats and Republicans would retain their seats in the Senate and the House of Representatives even if Michael Peroutka was elected President of the United States. Since both the Democrats and the Republicans back foreign aid to Israel, they should be able to pass a foreign aid bill for Israel with a majority vote to override any veto that Peroutka has.

As for Michael Peroutka leaving Israel to fend for itself if he is elected President and the United States being Israel's only true ally, the Lord is still Israel's greatest ally.  No country can destroy Israel unless the Lord allows it.  Since the Bible is the truth and God cannot lie according to Titus 1:2, the latter day prophecies have to be fulfilled in the land of Israel and in Jerusalem. The Lord is also going to defend Jerusalem when all nations of the world come against it including the U.S. if it's still around. (Zechariah 12)  In the meantime if some country decides to send a nuclear missile into Israel to destroy it, the Lord God who created the sun, the moon, the stars, heaven and earth, and everything on it can reach out with His mighty arm and stop the nuclear missile by miraculous means if he has to or he could create an electronic failure in the missile before it ever leaves the ground. We serve a mighty God, and not a wimp.  Luke 1:37 says, "For nothing with God shall be impossible."  I would rather place my faith in the Lord to defend me and protect me any day rather than placing my faith in the arm of the flesh -- someone else's military might or foreign aid.

Who are you placing your faith in to rapture you up to meet the Lord Jesus in the air?  Hopefully in the same Lord that can defend Israel, and certainly not in a U.S. space shuttle to launch you up into the air.  Don't forget that we serve an almighty Lord who will slay his enemies when he returns with the sword that proceedeth out of his mouth according to Rev. 19:21.  If you have faith in the Lord to catch all his faithful believers up to meet him in the air and to defend Israel as he has done before, then I don't see why a vote for Michael Peroutka would not be justified.

God bless,
Donna
