“the days of Noah”

“…..O ye hypocrites, , ye can discern the face of the sky, but can ye not discern the signs of the times?”     Matthew 16:1-3

As I write this study, today it is exactly 40 days until the end of this 120th year we are presently living in, and “…as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man,” Luke 17:26; Matthew 24:37-39.

In our Scripture text for this study, the Lord sternly rebuked the wicked unbelieving Pharisees and Saducees (religious leaders) for not being able to discern “the signs of the times.”

Spiritually speaking, things haven’t changed much. After 2,000 years  of God’s GRACE, many “professing Christians” today still cannot,, or will not, discern the “signs of the times.”   Christ rebuked the unbelieving, “willingly ignorant”  Pharisees and Saducees for asking Him to show them a “sign” from heaven.  The Lord’s answer to them was that no sign would be given to them, other than the sign of the prophet Jonah.   In other words, the death, burial, and RESURRECTION of Christ.  Turn in your Bibles and read Matthew 12:38-41 again.

Yet the Lord explicitly told His discriples to “watch” for the many

signs that would be given to announce His coming again to resurrect

and rapture His church and believing people out of this present evil world, and take us “home” to glory, Galatians 1:4; Titus 2:11-15.

Numerous times in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the Lord told His disciples to “watch” for the “signs” which would indicate His soon return.   The Lord even pronounced a special blessings upon those of His

people whom He would find faithfully “watching” when He comes for

His church, Luke 12:37.  And these God given “signs” are what this study is about…….

This is the one major “sign” which covers the entire end of this present age.  Every other “sign” that  the Lord told His disciples to “watch” for during these “last days,” falls within a repetition of “the days of Noah.”   Another way of expressing this, is one “BIG SIGN” for His people, and then many other “signs” signifying His soon return.

In my previous study, “Precision of the Lord,” I emphasized the 120 year repetition  we are living in today, Genesis 6:3., I pointed out that  it would end precisely on the day the 120th year is complete, just as it did in “the days of Noah” preceding the flood.  In the days preceding the flood, the last seven days fulfilled the warning God gave to Noah, Genesis 7:4.  This final seven day warning perfectly correlates with the last seven days of this present 120th year; Christmas Day, December 25th, through New Year’s Day, December 31st.

That very last day of the seven day warning, which was also  the last day of the 120 years, was the day Noah entered into the ark, “and the Lord shut him in,” Genesis 7:16.

Now some reader may ask how I can be so sure that Noah entered into the ark on the very last day of the 120 years?  Thank you for asking!

It is clearly stated TWICE in the Scriptures that the flood began on the same day that Noah entered into the ark, Matthew 24:38-39; Luke 17:26-27.  So Noah entered on the last day of the 120 years, which was also the last day of the 7 day warning, Genesis 6:3; 7:4.  I suspect that just after Noah entered the ark , and “the Lord shut him in,” Noah and his family heard  the rain begin to fall on the roof of the ark.  There was no gap of time between that last day of the 120 years, and the beginning of the flood.    None!

This correlates perfectly with the soon coming resurrection and rapture of all true believers, right at the end of this present 120th year (40 days from today).

Dear readers, when we look into the prophecies of God’s Word,  the church age obviously ends  in Revelation 3:22.  Then what is recorded as happening next next in the inspired Word?  John saw a door open in heaven, and heard a voice calling him to “Come up hither.” Revelation 4:1-2.  John’s catching up right at the end of the church age, and the beginning of God’s JUDGMENT upon all Christ rejectors LEFT BEHIND, certainly typifies the catching up (rapture) of the Lord’s church and people.

I am well aware that some in the ranks of Christianity want to place the time of the rapture to occur in Revelation, chapters  6, 8, 11, 12, 13, or ?????   Dear readers, 1 Corinthians 14:33 is still in the Bible.  So is 2 Timothy 2:15.   Why not just place the time of the rapture, at the exact time the Lord placed it in His inspired Word?  Right at the end of the church age, and the beginning of the seven year tribulation!  PERIOD!

As I write, there are only 40 more days until the end of this 120th year.  Will the reader be one of the Lord’s believing children, caught up in the

rapture, or will the reader be LEFT BEHIND to enter into the terrible seven years of the Tribulation period?

If you haven’t paid attention to any of the other “signs” the Lord has graciously given to mankind, you had better pay attention to this one!

There are many Scriptures in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John which record “signs” the Lord told His disciples and church to “watch” for, in

view of His soon coming.  There is no way I can discuss all of them in

this brief study.  But the one which most perfectly describes the world exactly as we see it today is found in Luke 21:25.

“And there  shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars: and upon the earth distress ofnations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.”

Dear readers, this inspired Scripture perfectly describes the world situation which exists TODAY as I write.  Study, meditate, compare the Lord’s statement in this Scripture for yourself, and draw your own conclusions.  Fait enough?

Dear brothers & sisters in Christ,

With heartache and tears I have to tell you that unless the Lord intervenes this will be my last study.  I simply can no longer see to read, study, or write.  I cannot see my studies to make typo corrections.

After 68 years in ministering the Word of the Lord, the ministry the Lord gave me is over.  Thank you for your understanding and prayers.  I hope to SEE every reader in Heaven in a few more days. Glory to God!
