R.B you wrote,"...the love in us that naturally starts causing these things to happen is a gift given to us in the first place which throws the big ego and a self righteous attitude right out the window. It lets a person be honest with themselves, about themselves and in spite of themselves (warts and all) without condemnation. It helps a person see the difference from "ornamentation" and "real fruit".A dead tree can have all kinds of nice looking ornaments put on it to make it look alive and well until you shine a spot light on it to see that it's really just a dead tree with a bunch of nice looking ornaments on it.A tree with life in it may not look overly attractive at times but it has real fruit coming from it and the fruit naturally produces, it's not forced or brewed up like in the case of sticking fake nice looking ornaments on a dead tree.To me that's the difference from living by works and living by faith, from living by law and living by grace, from living in a constant uneasy sense of condemnation because you don't know if you measured up good enough or not and living in a constant sense of being forgiven and resting and letting the gift of love and the life that's in it come out of me in spite of my evil flesh that's in me and doesn't want to be that way."
You've been able to put in words, so much better than I can, the simplicity of how the Lord works in use to conform us into His image. The process is so much simpler than what we've been led to believe. My prayer is that many come to understand the Lord's work in us before it's too late.God bless you.Ola.
