Some seem to think that God is not good at math; that the
midpoint really isn't the midpoint. Some seem to think that God
only estimated time.
How close was God's count, on Daniel's 483 years? (7 x 69) I
think that was accurate to the exact day that Jesus rode into
Jerusalem and presented himself as the passover lamb. In other
words, that part of Daniel' prophecy was accurate to the very
day, 173,880 days from the beginning of the count, when the
command was given to rebuild Jerusalem.
I know I am being silly, but if God can count 173,880 days into
the future and be exact, I think it would be very simple to
count only 1260 days.
Rev 11
3And I
will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a
thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
This count will begin exactly where John put
it, just 3 and 1/2 days before the exact midpoint of the week,
and he abomination. They will prophecy for 1260 days, then
lie dead for 3 1/2 days, and then be resurrected on the last day of
the 70th week. I believe we can rest assured, this will happen
exactly on the day God has given us. It is NOT an "estimate."
Rev 12
6And the woman fled
into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that
they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore
days.
This count again is 1260 days. It too will begin exactly where John
has placed it, just seconds after the abomination. Remember, Jesus
told those that see the abomination to flee - there would be NO TIME
to waste. So this verse, 12:6 is seconds after the abomination. So
they will flee and be fed for exactly 1260 days. So this count to,
will end at the 7th vial that ends the 70th week. I am sure it will
be accurate to the exact day.
Rev 11
2But the court which
is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is
given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under
foot forty and two months.
This count is given in months. Again, it will begin exactly where
John put it, some very little time before the abomination; but
before the two witnesses show up. Perhaps it begins a week before.
John does not give us the exact time. When will this count end?
Perhaps a better question would be, what event will END this
trampling? Something or someone must move them out of Jerusalem.
Perhaps it will be the battle of Armageddon. So it may not be
exactly 1260 days.
Rev 13
5And there was given
unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power
was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
This count again will start exactly where John wrote it. VERY LITTLE
real time will have passed from the abomination in chapter 11 to the
beginning of chapter 13. So in effect, this count will begin very
soon after the abomination. What event will end this count? It will
surely end with the beast being cast into the lake of fire! But,
perhaps it will end the moment Jesus returns.
John gives us 5 different looks at the last half of the week, each
speaking of an event that will begin at the midpoint or very close
to it, and go to the end of the week. Daniel gives us this same
count twice in years. So all told, God has told us SEVEN (7) times
that the last half of the week will be 1260 days. Can we believe it?
Daniel has told us that the entire time of the 7th week will be 7
years. 7 x 360 = 2520. Can we believe that the 70th week will be
2520 days in length? Again, if God can be accurate for 173,880 days, this is a piece of
cake! OF COURSE it is accurate!! So if the time AFTER the
abomination is exactly 1260 days, given to us twice, let's
subtract: 2520 - 1260 = 1260. HOW AMAZING!! It
seems then, that when God said the abomination would come in the
"midst" or middle (divide by two), that is EXACTLY what He meant.
Therefore, the week will be 2520 days in length. It will be 84
months in length. It will be 7 years in length. And the abomination
will divided the week into two equal halves, each 1260 days.
Any theories then, that one dreams up, MUST fit this pattern, or the
theory is wrong. Don't even think of trying to rearrange these
numbers, for they have been written for thousands of years. They
will be proven true.
The first 1260 day count will begin with the 7th seal. The
abomination will come 1260 days later at the sounding of the 7th
trumpet. The last 1260 days will end at the 7th vial. That is the
"Last day" and that will be the day that Daniel rises and stands in
his "lot."
