"Are WE Still under the commands of the levitical law ?"
No of course not…….. The commands
of Moses which put heavy burdens on GOD’s people are entirely lifted
after Calvary……. Paul emphasized this repeatedly……. All of the law was
nailed to the Cross \:)/ ……..
All 600 of the laws are repealed in
the Love of Jesus……. Now this does NOT mean that since Grace abounds,
we should sin more so that grace will even more abound :bang …..
Jesus said that the law was fulfilled by the commands to love one another, He put no burdens on Man.
The old things/burdens are passed away, Grace, forgiveness and eternal life are ours for the asking……..
So why then do some pastors still preach from the old testament law as if it still applies to the church today?
Some churches have certain elements of the law as official doctrines of the church.
In
my mind, only Salvation by grace through faith, communion, and Baptism
after salvation (not for salvation) really qualify as
doctrines/ordinances of the Church …….
Why do church
members shun , refuse to forgive certain types of sin while other sin
which is every bit as bad in GOD’s eyes ? Refusing to forgive,
stealing, lying is listed right along with homosexually as sins GOD
abhors.
Some of my friends have openly said they would refuse to
accept a former homosexual as a fellow believer. But they do accept a
former thief, drug/alcohol addict or adulterer. GOD does not remember
my sins or yours, so how can we condemn others whose sins are also
covered by the Blood of Christ?
