"Dan 9:26-27 - who is the "he" that will make the convenant?"

Yesterday someone tried to promote the theory that the "he" in "and he shall confirm the covenant with many.. " is Yeshua and that a look at the original Hebrew proves this, but he did not really provide much of an analysis of this.  Let me take a look at these two verses in a way that will make this clearer.
כו  וְאַחֲרֵי הַשָּׁבֻעִים שִׁשִּׁים וּשְׁנַיִם, יִכָּרֵת מָשִׁיחַ וְאֵין לוֹ; .
26a And after the threescore and two weeks shall an anointed one be cut off, and be no more; 26a This is about the Messiah
כו   וְהָעִיר וְהַקֹּדֶשׁ יַשְׁחִית עַם נָגִיד הַבָּא,.
and the people of a prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;
This mentions BOTH the false messiah and the nation he will come from
כו   וְקִצּוֹ בַשֶּׁטֶף, וְעַד קֵץ מִלְחָמָה, נֶחֱרֶצֶת שֹׁמֵמוֹת.
but his end shall be with a flood; and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
This is obviously about the false messiah, not the real one.
כז  וְהִגְבִּיר בְּרִית לָרַבִּים, שָׁבוּעַ אֶחָד; וַחֲצִי הַשָּׁבוּעַ יַשְׁבִּית זֶבַח וּמִנְחָה, וְעַל כְּנַף שִׁקּוּצִים מְשֹׁמֵם, וְעַד-כָּלָה וְנֶחֱרָצָה, תִּתַּךְ עַל-שֹׁמֵם.  {פ}
27 And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week; and for half of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and upon the wing of detestable things shall be that which causeth appalment; and that until the extermination wholly determined be poured out upon that which causeth appalment.' 27 The last person mentioned was the false messiah, so it is natural to conclude that the "he" of this is the false messiah.
The subject of each successive sentence is
So it is natural to conclude that verse 27 continues to discuss the false messiah.
