Dear Mark; The fact is that all translations you listed will have the same scriptures listed. Many churches have taught over the years that the AC will rise from Europe. This is erroneous, and does not agree with scripture. Jimmy Swaggart noted this almost 30 years ago in one of his books as well. It is not a new concept at all, and one taught by some of the top college scholars in the US and other places. I come from a very long line of Jewish blood, and believe I understand the scripture as kept by the people of G-d for centuries as a testament to His promise.Daniel saw the dream by Nebudchanezzer, which saw the kingdom of Grecia under Alexander the Great divided into 4 parts. He then gets this explained later on. Remember, after Alexander died, his kingdom was spit into 4 parts. The statue shown in the dream, shows that the legs were of iron, symbolizing Rome. The feet and toes of that iron leg empire were of iron and clay. A loosely knit confederation of an area that rose from an area that was occupied by Rome. The 10 toes represent the 10 nations under the lead of the Little Horn king. But not Rome itself. The Seleucid portion of Alexanders kingdom was occupied by Rome later on.This is history, it is easily evident. Later in history we also know the Hashemite descendants of Mohammed ruled this area as well. Now take Psalm 83. This speaks of Israel in the last days. Look at an old map, and overlay a modern map of this area and you will see that this is the area occupied by modern day Jordan, which once was in the Seleucid territory. As well as the Hashemite territory. Now even further, read the other prophets concerning Edom and see as well, the descendants of Ammon ( modern day Amman, Jordan) are listed many times. Isaiah 63 shows this as does Jeremiah 49, (ask the Jews about this one as well), Daniel 11:41, Amos 1, Joel 3 and on and on.Consider that an Edomite was the descendant of Esau, Jacobs brother. And also see how he joins with what are now the Islamic nations to make a false peace with Israel, just as Daniel foretold. He left the Jews alone and did not take Jerusalem. When Alexander the Great went through Jerusalem, rabbis came out from the Temple and showed him where prophecy had foretold of him. He then went through Israel and into Syria, which later became the Seleucid portion of his empire, later occupied and controlled by Rome. So the 10 toes are an old Roman occupied territory, but NOT Rome herself. Any preliminary study in geography and history will show this to be precise.I am also in constant contact with some of the best know Jewish teachers of this day, who are leading the revival among the Jews. It is interesting to note that these people also believe this, and have confirmed it on our radio show. With all due respect, again I will iterate that the Jews most likely know what their words and meanings are in a deeper way than non-Jewish individuals. Why was this concept only changed by what is considered new Christian doctrine? As far as most Jews are concerned by the way, the King James version is a poorly translated work. Not to say it is not holy or not of G-d by any means. But the translations from Hebrew to English are in need of much work. Please feel free to go to here or here and research this more in depth if you like. And the Jewish people are awaiting the Messiah in the Spring of 2009. They have always waited in the spring, never on Rosh Hoshanna. That is a feast to be fulfilled by the Jews when the Time of Jacobs Trouble, or the Tribulation is coming to it's end.Shalom.Pete Fisher
