"Re: Vincent Tan and the scriptures quoted by the angel"

John just made reference to Vincent Tan's experience with the angels at the bottom of Sherry's post:

I love the scriptures, Sherry! The last scripture was also the last scripture read by the angel to Vincent Tan of $2.34 fame! See

and I decided it was time to once again go follow the link that John provided and (like many times over these years) read afresh Jim Bramlett's description of these encounters. As I did, this one part really jumped out at me that never seemed especially significant before, but now is highly significant, in light of recent posts here. Namely, the way in which Jesus changes from saying day and hour to just saying hour in the later verse, because He had just given us the day, thus suggesting that we can know the day, but not know which hour in that day. I noticed that one of the repeated practices of this angel in dealing with Vincent was that he would do and say things that were important to Vincent that there was no way any regular stranger could know about in order to let Vincent know that he was an angel. Even giving him the exact amount of money that will fill his gas tank yet future. When Vincent found that money then he knew that this was an angel for sure because only an angel could have done that. This seems exactly like that to all of us who are watching here. What other verses of scripture could have been quoted like this that would have greater impact than these in light of recent discoveries that now have raised our excitement over them? The following is from Jim Bramlett's article:

It was very dark, but the man took Vincent's King James Bible and, without searching, flipped immediately to the exact page, to Matthew, chapter 24. Then Vincent shined the flashlight on the page as the man read verse 36: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." He then jumped down to verse 42: "Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come."

There it is, the very verse that has us excited because this suggests that Jesus did give us the day but not the hour. The portion that the angel skipped was where Jesus tells us the day: Matthew 24:

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Praise God! Don't let this world steal your joy or your crown! We made it! We are well able!
