"Thanksgiving/Jewish trivia"

For the past sixty years at the University of Chicago, there has been a
Thanksgiving tradition that scholars, mathematicians, university presidents
and even Nobel Prize winners debate the same critical question every year:
Which is better-the latke (potato pancake traditionally served at Chanukah) or
the hamantash ( triangular pocket of dough filled with prune jelly or poppy
seeds to represent Haman's hat during Feast of Purim). The great debate has
forced scholars to examine for example the cosmic and mathematical
significance of the shapes and qualities of both yum yums. Hegel, Freud, Marx,
and somehow even even Plato get called up into this. All of which proves that
Jews love to argue and debate almost as much as eating (JUST ASK MY WIFE
PAULA), and when they combine them, what a joy!
So forget football and turkeys. We Jews love to argue and debate even trivial
things. So sue me!. No wonder so many become lawyers. May God help us!
