Thank you, Jim Bramlett for info and pictures of beautiful commodes. However, I personally
doubt if Grassley and other critics of the commode gift to Joyce will ever be recognized as
simply what it is, as how would that bring hurt and more gossip about Joyce? I am amazed
that people naming the name of Christ are knashing their tongues over other Christians
whom God is blessing in ways that they may not be at the present time.It brings remembrance to my mind of the accusations that Tammy Bakker and Jim Bakker had
"sold gold" bathroom fixtures in both sink and tub and shower. I know for a fact and by the
way, God also knows that those fixtures were brass, not gold at all. One could say that
brass is a 'gold color", but without lying could not say that gold and brass are the same
metal at all. These brass fixtures can be bought anywhere that fixtures are sold, such as
Home Depot, Lowe's , various hardware stores, etc. At that time, the brass fixture for a sink
was about $50 more than the chrome fixtures. I am sure those prices have risen since then.
Bigger lies are often believed quickly and easier, however, than the little lies.
Another lie told and believed by those who chose to believe it was concerning Tammy's
'expensive air conditioned dog house'. There was no expensive dog house...just a simple
dog house. Concerned that her dogs would not go into the house in the heat and at least
one was long haired that she was concerned about, she was one day talking to a worker
who was making some repairs in her garage and she just mentioned the situation to
him. This man had an old very small a/c sitting in his own garage for years.
He asked and got permission if he could bring the old a/c and set it up for the dogs.
He was granted permission and he did this without charging a dime. (that's .10 cents),
just as a favor. Well, the funny thing is that the dogs would not go into the dog house,
even with the a/c in. They never did, not even one time. This magnificent a/c that was
so much fodder for gossip, was only turned on during the hotest time of day and that
only for a few weeks, because they just wouldn't go in the dog house.
My own mother taught me that it was as bad to believe a lie as to tell one and that we
always need to be aware that gossipers do gossip and that it is a sin. This worker told how the a/c came to Tammy's house and the whole 9 yards.
Tammy told it too, Did anyone believe it? Only those who wanted to believe the
truth.
