"Standing on the Foundation of Prayer"

Standing on theFoundation of Prayer

Today's message is from Margaret Moberly.
In these last days everything that has not been filtered through prayer will be shaken and will not stand. Everywhere we turn we are hearing more and more about prayer. That is the Lord’s Spirit enunciating again and again how essential is the prayer life of His church.

God is shaking prayerless lives down to His kingdom’s firm foundation of prayer and intercession. There is no other way to stand on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ, whose very life was made up of constant communication with the Father through prayer. From the throne room in the heavenlies He is still leading us in prayer by His example.

Our continual prayer charge is both explicit and impossible without the work of the cross and the Holy Spirit.

We are commanded to “pray without ceasing” (1Thess. 5:17, KJV). This is the same command laid down for God’s priests from the beginning, when He commanded the incense to burn continuously upon the altar (Exod. 30:8).

God’s church is going to be a praying church. His bride will purely reflect His prayer life. His very character, embodied by the nine fruits of the Spirit, will be held together and sanctified by prayer. If we have something left to do for God and feel called by Him to do it, if we do not achieve it from a foundation of prayer, it will not stand.

TODAY'S PRAYER:
"Lord, let Your fire burn continually upon the altar of my heart. Ignite in me a passion for prayer that cannot be extinguished."

This a daily devotion from Chrisma@Strang.com
