"Genesis says animals have
a living soul!"
I have known for a long time because of my research
on why God says so much about animals in the Bible that He says they have
a soul and a spirit. Eccl. says they have a spirit. Psalms says the same
Spirit that breathes life into us gives them their breath. Revelation says
the animals in the sea have a soul.
Imagine my delight and surprise this morning as I was
looking over Genesis and found another reference to their souls! The Bible
I was using was one given to me from an old Grange Hall and is dated 1929.
The language is different but beautiful so say the least. So far I have
not found any great differences in this Bible from my KJV that I would
have a big problem with.
The Verse I found is Genesis 1:30. " And to every beast
of the earth, and to every bird of the heavens, and to everything that
creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is 'life', I have given every green
herb for food: and it was so. The word "life" there has a footnote that
says in the Hebrew it means "a living soul."
God's Word is so awesome! And it always agrees with itself
throughout every Book.
Just food for thought for all the animal lovers like
myself.
Love to all,
Shelva
