For the past week, I have been feeling "tremors" at night. It feels like a slight earthquake. This usually lasts anywhere between three to five minutes. I have this "gut feeling" that a huge earthquake is about to hit. This "summit" that is planned for November 27th is going to be the undoing of our country, folks! God is soooo disappointed in a nation that was founded with Him as the Hub of the wheel, and now most of the spokes are broken.
He is so saddened about having to exact His discipline on people He loves so very much, but as a loving Father, He has absolutely no choice but to discipline His children.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, pray! Pray like you've never prayed before. Fast and fall on your knees and humbly ask Your Father for forgiveness for our nation. Pray for our leaders. Pray for pastors and elders. This is THE only thing that will stay His anger. He loves it when we repent.
We (and I am saying this to myself LOUDLY), as Christians, may not escape His discipline. Are we not guilty, too? We may not be guilty of the sin of "commission," but what about the sin of "omission?" Have we done all we could to stem the tide of evil that has befallen our nation? Have we prayed as much as we should? Have we tithed as much as we could? Have we put other "gods" before our true GOD without even giving it any thought (i.e., TV, money, jobs, family, ad infinitum)? Have we been diligent to seek Him in His Word and in prayer and thanksgiving?
I don't "preach" to others as much as I "preach" to myself because I can truthfully say that I have "committed" at least one if not all of the sins of "omission." IT'S TIME TO CONFESS, REPENT AND TURN OUR FACE TOWARD THE LOVING FATHER, AS THE PRODIGAL SON TURNED TOWARD HIS FATHER. Our Loving, Heavenly Father is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness!
Let us not forget to THANK GOD this Thanksgiving. And let us not forget to tell others that it is not "Turkey Day," but A DAY OF THANKS TO OUR FATHER FOR HIS GRACIOUSNESS TOWARD US.
Love to all my! Rhonda
