John and Doves,Concentrating on the date of the 27th in relation to Annapolis, and building on yesterday's letter, we find some interesting links with Western Political resignations.
Heading off to Australia, Bob Carr, Premier of New South Wales resigned on 7/27/2005
Exactly to the day two years later Steve Bracks resigned on 7/27/2007Claire Martin, Northern Territory Chief Minister, resigned on 11/27/2007, the very same day as the Annapolis summit.
Now to the UK, where Tony Blair left Office on 6/27/2007, exactly a month before Steve Bracks announced his resignation. Blair was appointed envoy of the quartet (mentioned in yesterday's letter) intent on bringing peace to the Middle East (Israel).
All these western political leaders resigned on the 27th which is the same day as the last day of the Annapolis Summit. I find that rather odd. Blair's involvement is most interesting.
From 6/27/2007 (Blair leaving) to 11/27/2007 (Annapolis) is 153 days. Now there is a number for Bible Scholars to consider.
27 of course = 9+9+9 or 666 upside down if you like.Other Australian Premiers who have resigned in recent times, but not on the 27th, are Dr Geoff Gallop, Western Australia, 1/6/2006; Peter Beattie, Queensland, 9/10/2007 (effective 9/13/2007); Jim Bacon, Tasmania, 2/23/2004, effective 3/21/2004 (this being due to cancer); Kate Carnell, 10/17/2000; John Olsen, South Australia, 10/19/2001.
So, in the space of 7 years every State and Territory Premier or Chief Minister has resigned for one reason or another.
We do indeed live in strange times.
Blessings,
Phil.
