"To: Samson Re: KJV"

Hi Samson,

I agree with you.  The King James Version of the Bible is the only one that I read.  Scripture from the KJV is more powerful to me than any other version…..but this is me.  I like powerful because I know the Lord speaks with power.  Some of the other versions are …..how should I put it……gentle?  An easy read?  It’s hard to put into words, but when I read certain other Bibles I feel like I’m reading more of a daily devotional rather than the Word of God.

The apostle Paul wrote to the evangelist Timothy, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).  I feel like I study more when I read the KJV.  To most people, it is more difficult to understand, and that is probably why so many people seek different versions.  When I don’t understand, I search the scriptures, discuss it with my parents or my wonderful sister Kendra, or I pray for divine revelation of the Word of God.  This always helps.

People need to be careful with the newer versions of the Bible because there have been a lot of omissions.  I may be interpreting the verse wrong, but I always think about Revelation 22:19 which says, “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book.”

With that said………Bring on the KJV and Praise the Lord!

Samson, I wanted to tell you that I really enjoy your messages.  Your passion for the Lord comes out in every message you send.  Keep it up.  :)

In Christ,

Kelly
