I thank all who have shared an opinion as to the identity of the Whore of Babylon.  It's an interesting thread, many "harlots" have been mentioned, but who is the Mysterious Mother of them all? Truth is, all of our guesses either now or in the past have had "symptoms" of this great evil woman--qualifying them as daughters. I admit to being very convinced after watching Dave Hunt's video that it was the Catholic Church, just as those believers in 1599 did.  But, we still see through a glass darkly, and only the Lord Himself knows who He means.  I try to examine/prove many things, and only hold on to that which seems right.  So, I appreciate this forum where we can share various thoughts and ideas. (THANK YOU JOHN!) Each post made sense, and presented a strong argument. Perhaps it is all the evil in our world today collectively that has been birthed in the ancient land of Babylon; pagan religions, child sacrifice, strange gods, dark sayings, occultism, secret gnosis and societies, cabals.  But, we do know the deceiver who is behind it all!  Could it be that somehow God will draw all these daughters together, such as false religions, secret societies, occult and pagan entities, the NWO elites, freemasons, etc. to enact Lucifer's last stand, on a base in Shinar for a final showdown?  I wish I knew. I would love to think that we could all share our thoughts and finally figure it all out, but perhaps it's a mystery because God wants that to remain with Him alone for now. If one were to count scriptures of harlotry, truly Jerusalem would win out.  But Lamantations 4:21-22 tells us:  Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked. The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: he will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will discover thy sins.
 
These are hard days for all of us who love Israel, and see the darkness and insanity coming to here to Annapolis to enact the Saudi Peace Plan that's been repackaged. I too am horrified and ashamed of our country's leadership participation in this; it is evil against Israel from the bowels of hell itself. When I look at all the plans the "elite" have for our world, I have to wonder if they are not decendants of the Nephilim--they aspire to all that is unjust, and despise all that was good in our world, desire power over all peoples for evil gain, and have confidence only in themselves, and want to enslave the God-fearing world. This enslavement of the mind has been going on for a long, long time through liberalism, education systems, infiltrated religious systems, you name it! I never thought I'd live to see the day that everything in our society would be against God!
 
Something to ponder is this...perhaps December is not the end of 2007!  Remember that God says that the new year is to start when the Abib barley is seen in Israel--in the Spring. That is yet four months away from this Annapolis summit of evil. But, although there is yet 4 months until the harvest (of barley), the fields are ripe for spiritual harverst now.
