| Dan
12:7 |
|
And I heard the man clothed in linen,
which [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his
left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be]
for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall
be finished.
When I did a word study on "the power of the Holy
people," it became clear, as I see Annapolis discussed in the Israeli
newspapers, the discussions and comments are always about the politics; seldom
does anyone say, "let us fall on our faces before God, and beg Him to give us
the victory!" They call Olmert and Bush names, they believe in the power
of the IDF and war, etc., etc. They busy themselves with impotent outrage. I
think this is God's way of bringing them to their knees literally--to cry out to
HIM. I have family members I love who will not listen to me to repent and change
their ways. When I announced rapture dates years ago, they quit listening. All I
can do now is pray that He brings them back to Him and to me. And I know that
won't happen until things in this world get a little hairy, and they get really
scared. Then--they will listen! To God be the Glory! He will NOT give His
Glory to another! This feeling that man or politics
can solve the problems are folly and arrogance. I believe our Lord intends to
humble people first, then when they cry out to Him, they will be saved as the
scriptures tell us. We also know that God will restore the land--all of
it--to His people. Praise His Holy Name!
Another thing the Lord has laid on my heart in my little
ministry to the Jewish people (who think Jesus is Satan) is the issue of their
"traditions of men." The Babylonian Talmud and the many other oral "sayings and
interpretations of the sages" are just that, Babylonian traditions of men! And
they revere them more than God's Holy Scriptures, sad to say. In fact they have
been ingrained with these traditions in Judaism for centuries so that they don't
seek the truth; the just recall the knowledge of the sages. Sometimes I think it
would take a spiritual atomic bomb to clear their minds and hearts. As it
is, it seems you can take Judah out of Babylon, but you can't take Babylon out
of Judah! But, God can! And He will!
I found it interesting that in the word study of the
holy "people" (`am) means people, nations, AND in one
instance, Ammi!
| Hsa
2:1 |
Say ye unto
your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah. |
| Hsa
2:2 |
Plead with
your mother, plead: for she [is] not my wife, neither [am] I her husband: let
her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from
between her breasts; |
| Hsa
2:3 |
Lest I strip
her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a
wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst. |
| Hsa
2:4 |
And I will
not have mercy upon her children; for they [be] the children of whoredoms. |
| Hsa
2:5 |
For their
mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for
she said, I will go after my lovers, that give [me] my bread and my water, my
wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink. |
| Hsa
2:6 |
Therefore,
behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not
find her paths.
| Hsa
2:7 |
And she shall follow after her
lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not
find [them]: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for
then [was it] better with me than now.
| Hsa
2:11 |
I will
also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her
sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. |
| Hsa
2:12 |
And I will
destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These [are] my
rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the
beasts of the field shall eat them. |
| Hsa
2:13 |
And I will
visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she
decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers,
and forgat me, saith the LORD. |
| Hsa
2:14 |
Therefore,
behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak
comfortably unto her.
| Hsa
2:16 |
And it shall
be at that day, saith the LORD, [that] thou shalt call me Ishi ("He saves me"); and shalt
call me no more Baali. |
| Hsa
2:17 |
For I will
take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be
remembered by their name. |
| Hsa
2:18 |
And in that
day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the
fowls of heaven, and [with] the creeping things of the ground: and I will break
the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie
down safely. |
| Hsa
2:19 |
And I will
betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in
righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. |
| Hsa
2:20 |
I will even
betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD. |
| Hsa
2:21 |
And it shall
come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens,
and they shall hear the earth; |
| Hsa
2:22 |
And the
earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear
Jezreel. |
| Hsa
2:23 |
And I will
sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not
obtained mercy; and I will say to [them which were] not my people, Thou [art] my
people; and they shall say, [Thou art] my God.
| Isa
14:1 |
|
For the LORD will have mercy
(Ruhamah: mercy, compassion, love) on Jacob, and will
yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be
joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
Come Lord
Jesus!
