Israel is not only the house of Judah, there is the house of Israel to, or what they sometime call it, the Northen kingdom, or House of Israel.

And the Southern kingdom, the House of Judah, (who in our time is called the nation of Israel) - When divided under the son of Salomon, both kingdoms have their own capitol, Judah have Jerusalem, and the ten tribes of Israel have Samaria.

When Assyria in war conquered the House of Israel, they emptied the so called "nation of Efraim" and re-populated it with peoples from other conquered nations etc. So they in a way make the ten tribes land, to a land of gentiles but still with Samaria as a capitol.

Of this " two vomen,"  Samaria and Jerusalem, was only Jerusalem still on "Israels" hand, because of the House of Judah. - The House of Israel was the first to loose their country, because of lack of faith and sinfull behaviour. But later the House of Judah did the same.

The ten tribes of Israel, the former House of Israel (or Efraim,) was mingled among Assyrians, and later among a lot of nations of Europe. They lost their identity, their language, and their faith. - but in fact, great
groups of people in Europe, have their roots in the ten tribes.

This is the irony and humor of God, that a lot of those whos real identity is from the ten tribes of Israel, know nothing about this, and a lot they are christians now, - Praise to our Great God - that was the risen for why, the Holy Spirit send Paul to Europe (Marcedonia) and not to Asia.

"Funny" to know that a lot of us christians have our root in the tribes of  Israel, but we dont really know it. - Funny - because Judah know their identity, and for a part they now again are back, in the country God gave Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - Israel for ever, back again as the nation of Israel, - but they dont know or recognize Jesus Christ, or as they call him Yassuah, as their King, High Priest and Messiah, and they have no rigth to divide the land, - and the gentile nations have no rigth to push the jews to do so. !

Hope for that the day soon will come, where Jesus take Home those belonging to Him, and then the wake up call with a real great power, will go back to "the nation of Israel" and the tribe of Judah.
