This is by no means a study, just stuff off the top of my head like the heaven letter. Now once again we are to believe that no one has ever seen hell and been able to warn others because of another scripture re Lazerus and the rich man.
Well, lets see. What do you suppose David saw when he was lamenting that the rich who do wicked never suffer? psalms 73
17 till I entered the sanctuary of God;
then I understood their final destiny.
18 Surely you place them on slippery ground;
you cast them down to ruin.19 How suddenly are they destroyed,
completely swept away by terrors!20 As a dream when one awakes,
so when you arise, O Lord,
you will despise them as fantasies.
What is this place he saw? He saw their final destiny, hell.
What about Jonah. Did he not liken his time in the whale to hell?. That is one of the best discriptions that one could physicaly have of hell other than being there. Job, now he lived hell on earth, but not really. For hell is much worse. Job knew that and that is why he stayed faithful to God no matter how bad it got. How do you suppose he knew it was so bad. I think the key there is to read what he has said to his so called friends. Did any of the prophets see hell? I think so. Just as some have seen heaven and also the judgement to come for their nation I would say they too have had a Jonah experience. It is this type of severe revelation from God that burns in the bones of a prophet. That is why nothing will stop them. Even if it is all the so called religious and theological experts. Your theory may convince you but there is nothing like hands on experience to learn a lesson.
Yes there are those who have experienced or seen hell and have warned others. It is much worse then you can ever imagine. And there are those there, in hell, who you now think couldn't be there. Jesus is very serious when he says you must forgive or you shall not be forgiven. And that is but one example.
