"Update: Richard Roberts Lawsuit"
Hi John & All:
This information has been out for at least a few days now, but nobody seems to have mentioned it here at the Five Doves.
Richard Roberts who was on a temporary leave-of-absence from O.R.U. while the legal issues were ongoing, has now formally resigned. According to news sources, there have been additional legal actions commenced, including one last week by a former senior account, who alledges he was asked to cook the books, in order to cover up financial wrong-doing.
I thought I read somewhere that the Internal Revenue Service was doing their own investigation, but at the moment I am unable to verify this. There was an investigation done in 2006 in which O.R.U. had been given a warning by the I.R.S. and made to come into compliance.
The faculty of O.R.U. overwhelmingly voted against allowing Richard Roberts to return as its President, and O.R.U. Provost, Mark Lewandowski, said that he would himself resign if Roberts was allowed back.
Apparently O.R.U. has recently admitted to being $52 million in debt.
