Hi John & All:
As John knows, I've been holding off on this for quite some time, waiting until some type of confirmation was made on the date of the upcoming Annapolis Peace Conference. You know the old saying -- many a slip between cup and lip. But assuming the announced dates hold, the conference officially begins on Monday, November 26th, 2007.
So what about it, you may ask. Just this - the start date for the conference is no less than the 60th anniversary date, to the very day, of the historical U.N. Resolution 181, which brought about the creation of the State of Israel.
But wait a minute someone says - wasn't U.N. Resolution 181 brought forth on November 29th, 1947? As such, that would hardly
be a match to the very day.
Oh but hold on a minute -- convert it to the Jewish calendar:
November 29th, 1947 =======> Kislev 16, 5708
November 26th, 2007 =======> Kislev 16, 5768
An amazing God we serve, holding the times in His hand (Psalm 31: 15).
See ya in the air,
Eric
