I prepared this post a couple of days ago, but was too busy to post it.   I
see the words "Peace and Safety" have struck a chord with many Doves!

THE YEAR OF RECOMPENCE FOR THE CONTROVERSY OF ZION –
Isaiah 34

 

...WHEN THEY SAY “PEACE and SAFETY!” then sudden destruction...

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.
For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.  And they shall not escape.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
You are all sons of light and sons of the day.  We are not of the night nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

The so called “Peace Conference” in Annapolis has come at the conclusion of a seven year period of conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis.   The current Intifada was initiated on 28th September, 2000, when Ariel Sharon read from the book of Ezekiel on the Temple Mount.   His action was met with stone throwing by the Palestinians and a general violent uprising with battle clashes which began the following day on Yom Teruah, the eve of Rosh Hashana, Jewish New Year 5762.

Not only was Intifada 2000 declared against the Israelis; but the Terrorist attack on the Pentagon and World Trade Centre a year later, widened the conflict perpetrated by radical Islamists to include the U.S.A.   Subsequent bombings in Bali, Spain, London, and other countries indicated that Radical Islam was at war with the World in general, but with Israel and the West in particular.

For the optimistic World Leaders at Annapolis to consider that the signing of any Peace Agreement by a “faction” of Palestinians, i.e. Mahmoud Abbas’ (Palestinian Authority) will mean that the terrorist groups will halt their “intifada” towards Israel and embrace peace with the rest of the World; is a “mind-boggling” leap of faith.

For a people group whose way of life is violence and opposition to Israel’s very presence in the World, such a “rosy tinted” view of the influence which is supposedly wielded by Abbas, (who has never rescinded any anti-Israel phrases from the “manifesto” of the P.L.O./ P.A) is ludicrous.   Even his own “Fatah” armed wing “Aksa Martyrs Brigade” brand of Palestinian support frequently works against him.    Bush’s vision for a “two state” solution in Israel is a “pipe dream” which will eventually lead to a “one state” Islamic rule by Hamas, Hizb’allah, and Islamic Jihad, backed by the “axis of evil” twosome – Iran and Syria.

It is obvious from the talk issuing out of Annapolis that it is the intention of U.S.A. Bush/Rice to whittle away at Israel by means of a thousand cuts, until what is left reaches a size acceptable to the Palestinians, and Arab Nations,  without so much as an official recognition of the State of Israel on their part.   Any decision allowing the “right of return” of Palestinian refugees, will overwhelm the neighbouring “disputed territories” and enable Radical Islamists to gain control, as happened in Gaza.

There is no doubt in my mind that we are now entering a most dangerous phase in the history of Israel and the World when the continued rise of Radical Islam will eventually precipitate the revelation of the Beast and False Prophet of Revelation 13, which will plunge the World into the tribulation period.  

The recent election of a Labour Government in Australia, and the probable election of Democrats in U.S.A. next year will see the way open for the Islamists to gain the upper hand after the coalition troops are withdrawn from Iraq.

As has been pointed out by other writers on this forum, the Annapolis Conference occurred 60 years to the day since U.N. resolution 181 paved the way for the establishment of a Jewish State.   Next May it will be 60 years since their declaration of Statehood was made on 14th May 1948.  

Have we in fact arrived at “The year of recompense for the controversy of Zion”?  Isaiah 34:8,
as the Leaders of the U.S.A. pressure Israel into dividing their land during the ensuing 12 months.

Is the final struggle for the birthright ownership of Jerusalem between Jacob (Israel) and Esau (Edom) about to begin?

Daniel 12:1   “At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time; and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book.”

The deliverance of Israel comes in a time of intense trouble. – “For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.”

The forces of evil surrounding Israel have no intention of recognising her right to exist in the Holy Land, nor will they quietly accede to the plans the U.S.A. has for the formation of a two state solution.

For the Islamist nations there is only one solution – the destruction of Israel.
