I do not believe I have shared this with the Doves.  I know I have told some people about it.
If I have just chalk it up to senility or forgetfulness and indulge me.
 
Revelation 2:17  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.  To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna.  I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.
 
My father recently died and in his personal things was a letter written to me shortly after my birth.  I had never seen the letter before.  He stated in the letter that he had given me a special name.  Funny thing is he never called me by his special name.  I never knew about it until I received the letter 62 years later.
 
I cannot even begin to describe the feelings that welled up as I read a letter penned by my father, a young soldier in a war zone, to his baby daughter back in the States.  And the knowledge that I had a special name that noone else ever knew about, not even me!  I was very special to my father and he blessed me with that letter.
 
This verse came to mind.  I have heard ministers expound that God has a special name for each of His children but we won't receive that name until we get to Heaven.  I am very special to my Father and He has blessed me with a special name.  One day I will receive confirmation of that name in Heaven just as I received confirmation of my father's special name for me on earth.  What a glorious day that will be!!
