"Horses of Heaven"
Dear Doves
Just a little poem I thought I would share; I like to
think of the warrior angels on huge, white horses doing battle for us.
Can you hear the footsteps of the Messiah getting ready to call us home?
I can! Praise the Lord for Jesus Returns!
HORSES OF HEAVEN
It is autumn and the grass holds
the heat against my back as I lay in the field.
With my eyes closed I hear
the slow rhythm I have known all my life
like my own heart beating outside
or my name in a crowd.
They are riding from the sky
but the earth is moving with each beat of their
hooves heavy with armor and weight and feathers
of angels.
No wind, or lightning or thunder to warn
passing cars and people busy with life.
White-gold, living steel
breaking through the second heaven
by prayer.
The drum beat is low
the books are closed
and they ride for the saints
of the Lord.
Love,
Dawn
