"Ministries"

Dear Doves;

I was not at all surprised to see the ministries that are under investigation in the news.  They have been preaching on The Blessing, how your seed produces your harvest and that this is the year of the open door.  It stands to reason that the devil would attempt an attack on the very thing they are preaching.  Isn't that what he always does?  How many of us have heard a teaching on healing and then that very week be attacked in our physical body?   Please, please, please Doves, do not take Satan's bait.  He is a liar and this attack is meant to produce doubt and unbelief.  We are hearing unbelievers bashing the reputations of these ministers of the gospel and it hurts my heart (and the heart of Jesus).  These are our leaders, teachers and serants of the Most High God; they need our prayers and support.  I am fully convinced that if you propagate the same kind of gossip that the news is circulating you will have to answer for yourself to the Lord.  Gossip and slander are grave sins.

If we could bring our patriarchs back, into this millennium, make no mistake that they too would be under investigation.  Abraham was the wealthiest man alive at his time.  Solomon?  Well, he took the Queen of Sheba's breath away with his riches and splendor.  Job?  Self-explanatory.  Even when Judas complained about the vial of precious perfume the woman anointed Jesus with, Jesus did not condemn that extravagance!  He said what we all need to remember:  "The poor you will always have, but you will not always have me."  And private jets?  I am thrilled that ministries have them!  Can you imagine trying to get from one side of the nation to another efficiently with all of your teaching materials and employees?  The Lord says that "the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous". Christians should have the wealth and influence and part of the reason we have so much poverty and corruption is because the flow of wealth is not in the right direction.

It is not a sin to have riches.  It is a sin to let riches have you.   And let me tell you, there are many, many people who are greedy and covetous and they are not in ministry.  America is a wealthy nation and yet I have read posts and articles condemning America for being a proponent of a "prosperity gospel".  I hope so!  Because that is what the gospel is!  We happen to live in a country that sends out the most missionaries, is the number one exporter of bibles and finances the most humanitarian aid of any country on the planet.  Please do not think that our wealth as a nation is for us to be fat and happy.  It is for the Lord's glory.  I take a stand right now to support these wonderful ministers of the gospel and when someone, believer or not, says a negative word about them, I will go on record to say, "I bless them in the name of Jesus and pray that no weapon formed against them shall prosper."

Love,
Dawn
