I praise the Lord for your post.  Prosperity is not just about money; it means blessings in your spirit, health and finances.  Prosperity is our birthright as Abraham's seed and joint heirs with Jesus.  People who think that Christians should be broke and sick either do not have revelation on what the bible says or they use the scripture which is always partially quoted "In this world you will have troubles...".  The rest of the story is "But take heart I (Jesus) have overcome the world!" John 16:33  It is God's will for us to be healthy, wealthy and wise.  Surely we will go through troubles in our lives, but we will go through them and come out as more than conquerers through Jesus!  We never need to pray "if it is God's will" if He speicifcally says in His word that it is!!  IT IS ALWAYS GOD'S WILL TO HEAL, TO BLESS AND TO PROSPER YOU.  What is up to you is to apply your faith to believe it and receive it.

 

Many, many people think that God does not heal anymore, or he heals some but not everyone, or He helps some people out of debt and not everyone.  But our Lord is no respector of people.  If He did it for one, He can do it for you.  That is why we are not to be jealous of another brother or sister's whealth but we are to cheer them on knowing that our Lord can do the same for us.  All that came to Jesus when He walked the earth, and asked for healing, were healed.  The ones that weren't were the ones who never asked and who lacked faith.  Jesus was and is always willing to heal, restore and renew us. 

 

We have to take responsibilty for our faith:  If we are sick, broke or miserable do a quick spiritual check.  Am I walking in love?  Do I have bitterness or unforgiveness in my heart or life?  Am I a tither and a giver?  Am I in being disobediant in some area of my life?  Am I in unbelief?  Am I in some kind of sin?  While there are miracles, and those are awesome, for us believers there are areas in our lives that will stop the blessing flow and the major one is not walking in love.    

 

I agree with you Jim that if more people knew what propserity meant and knew more about the ministries being under seige right now, the critics would be ashamed and repent.  We personally are proud partners with KCM  and have been for years.  Ken and Gloria Copeland have blessed our lives and taught us Holy Spirit inspired principles that have caused us to learn to walk in amazing prosperity.  In fact, in leiu of the recent attack on their ministry I am prayerfully considering increasing our monthly giving!  Praise be to God!
