"Judgment must begin at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17,18)"

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (1 Peter 4:17,18)

If you believe that the Rapture is close at hand, as I do, then here are two verses in the Bible that must be fulfilled first. The second verse gives the order of events:

1. The Righteous are found worthy and escape (Rapture) the Tribulation (Luke 21:36)
Judgment of the church (Wise virgin taken, the unwise virgin left behind) (Matthew 25)

2. Judgment of the world (ungodly) and the sinner (unwise virgin) (Luke 21:34,35)

For the last few months we are seeing high profile Televangelists come under severe scrutiny. Lawsuits, college board investigations, Senate investigations, local church investigations. From Oklahoma to California, Texas, Florida, Geogia and all in between. The rest of the world too, I'm sure.

Some of this is persecution. Some of this is God's judgment. Most of it is self caused by carnal actions taken outside our Spiritual protection.

This judgment is not just high profile either. A few months ago, in our city, the Dean of a Christian college and Pastor of a charasmatic fellowship was arrested in the middle of the night, wrapped in a towell at a park's public restroom, for soliciting for prostitution. He has resigned his ministry.

Prayer. Our leaders need prayer. We all need prayer. We all need to watch and pray too: Our Father, may we be counted worthy to escape all of these things that are coming upon the earth and stand before you. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. (Luke 21:36)
