Quicksilver is another word for Mercury, the element. It describes it's appearance as silver, with it being a liquid, or quick, at room temperature.
With all the focus on the transit of Mercury, the planet, what about Quicksilver?
The word "Mercury" is not in the Bible, (KJV). The word "quicken", as in quicksilver, is. The last time it appears, and the only time in the New Testament is:
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11
Notice the 2nd Testament, (New Testament), as in 2nd Thousands, the 6th book of the New Testament (Romans), as in years, and of course, the 8th Chapter, (days) and the 11th Verse, (month).
Of also interest is that in the 1st Testament, (Old Testament), the word "quicken" appears in 11 verses, all of them in the 19th book of the Old Testament, (Psalms), nine of these 11 verses are in Psalms 119. Now what could be the close connection between obviously 11 and 9. The main thing that comes to mind is that November is the 11th month but it used to be the 9th month. November means "Ninth Month". (For reference, October like in Octagon has the root meaning eight, and December like Decimal has the root word ten.)
