"The Saddam Verdict"

John and Doves,

With the verdict of Saddam due today, I was wondering if the "head" injury that one of the end-time leaders recovers from could be a reference to Saddam, the "head" of Iraq, in the same way that Jesus is the head of the church:

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. Rev 13:1-3

I was amazed to see the U.S. spend great resources to go into Iraq, track him down, put him in our prison system, then transfer him back to Iraq to be tried there. If he escapes somehow and manages to return to power, it would be something to ponder. Though I can't recall exactly what's happened, I know there have been several deaths/assassination attempts on the prosecuting side of the case. They say civil war could be looming there..we'll see.
