"Matt24:28 vs Luke17:37"

Dear Doves,

Mat 24:28  For wherever the carcass is, there will the vultures be gathered together.

Luk 17:37  And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wherever the body is, there will the vultures be gathered together.

The verses above seem to be referring to the same event (…wherever the carcass/body is…). Is it possible that reference is made to some kind of abomination which is committed in Israel and hence resulting in a desolation of the land of Israel or part of Israel? What do the mentioned vultures signify; surely it is not something good?

I would think that in the case of Sodom and Gomorrah (an event involving Lot), the acts of the inhabitants of these places towards the angels was an abomination which was committed and hence resulting in a desolation of the two cities/towns.

Let us continue to watch and pray because it shows that we still have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His promise of coming back for us. Remember that His promises are Yes and Amen!!

Anything peculiar about the date: ‘September 17’?

God bless you for your steadfastness!!

Simon
