This is for Jill:  I love to speculate as well and I
do see the possibility of the Yellowstone supervolcano
explosion playing a big part in the Day of the Lord.
From what I have read about supervolcanoes, they
definitely can affect the climate of the whole world.

Jill, I am of the opionion that the Yellowstone
supervolcano explosion will usher in the last half of
the Tribulation, or the "Day of the Lord":

2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the
night, in which the heavens will pass away with a
great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent
heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will
be burned up.

Isaiah 13:9
See, the day of the LORD is coming -a cruel day, with
wrath and fierce anger- to make the land desolate and
destroy the sinners within it.

Zephaniah 1:18
18 Neither their silver nor their gold
      Shall be able to deliver them
      In the day of the LORD's wrath;
      But the whole land shall be devoured
      By the fire of His jealousy,
      For He will make speedy riddance
      Of all those who dwell in the land.

Amos 5:20
Is not the day of the LORD darkness, and not light? Is
it not very dark, with no brightness in it?

Zephaniah 1:14-15

The Bible Codes, which admittedly have not been
accurate to date, are predicting this Yellowstone
supervolcano event for 2010.  Certainly makes the Day
of the Lord seem so near, and especially its
precursor, the Rapture:

Luke 21:
34 "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be
weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of
this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35
For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on
the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and
pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape
all these things that will come to pass, and to stand
before the Son of Man."
